I would have applied to another category if they didnt need me English exam. Its expensive at 350$~. And there is no guarantee that we will get AOR before PNP process.
When does your WP expire? Mine expires in about 4 months so I am on edge lately.

My work permit expires in 2016 So still have some time to think

I think nothing is happening on PNP applications, Some of the guys got AOR in May but still they are waiting for in process. Some are waiting for AOR from last 6 months.

Is anybody know whats going on?

I just read (http://www.canadavisa.com/news/entry/british-columbia-launches-express-entry-category-for-canadian-immigration-07-01-15.html) BC and NS launched PNP express entry.

What is reason to ignore the PNP applicants. Rush of applications or Express entry.

What you guys think?

My guess is...personnel had to leave their current tasks to train for EE and learn the new system. The metrics from the new EE system is what their performance will be measured against. Whatever gets measured, gets done

I see from other threads that few december 13 aplicants are getting RFP, DM etc. Which seems fair because it has been 1 year. Somewhere i read its been 15 months std.
I dont think we should look into any trends to predict ours. Because we fell into the timeline when ee was introduced. Also opnp clients (with or without aor) have QA because of opnp screw up. So we cannot predict anything based on wait time trends: Application to aor, aor-med, med to RPF, DM etc. It could be anything.
We probably will be on lower priority and longer processing compared to the 10,000 refugees entering Canada.

10000 refugees may be reason to delay our applications but in FSW inland applications got DM in six to seven month according to

does anyone here applied for bridging workpermit with cic AOR recently please share ur experience..cic recieved my bgowp on dec 22nd 2014.

If you have a valid PNP certificate, you can get a WP. Make sure you apply right away in order to avoid delays. You do not need AOR.
Thank you! Where can I read about it on cic website?
Is it gonna be bridging work permit or what type?
Because for bridging wp everyone says you need aor from pr process.

In order to apply for a Bridging Open Work Permit, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1) Applicant must be currently in Canada

2) Must be on a valid work permit that is due to expire within 4 months

3) Must have received a positive eligibility decision on an application for Permanent Residence under FSWP, CEC, Federal PNP or FSTP

Hi guys, i emailed to cio-sydney more than two months ago asking if they could let me know the status of my application and most importantly if they had my file. I don't have any document that says i submited, only the Canada post online signature that indicates someone received it there. Anyways they replied today saying "Your email has been forwarded to the appropriate party for review." No idea what that even means. Anyone had any experience like that?

I called the Opportunity Ontario this morning regarding of my extension of my BOWP. I applied for the BOWP in October, BUT I haven't got my WP yet. It has been "on hold" by CIC for about 3 months and it is rediculous. I called both CIC AND Opportunity Ontario and only got "sorry" from them. The officer in Opportunity Ontario said our "on hold" OPNP will be processed as early as in FEB. So our OPNP, we have to wait until FEB to see if we can be processed. It is rediculous to wait for file number for 1 year. Crazy...

The BOWP is different than the WP you get with your PNP certificate. The WP you get with your PNP certificate isn't usually open because you must have a job offer in order to get it so your WP will be specifically for that job.

Go to this link and do the "check your eligibility" questions. One of the questions will be "have your received a positive eligibility decision" -check no. Another question will have a drop down box and ask you what describes your situation- one of the options will be "a provincial nominee certificate holder. At the end of answering all the questions it should tell you that you can apply for a WP and that you will need a written job offer, your PNP certificate and possibly another letter from the PNP (a letter of recommendation from them). You will have to contact the PNP office to ask them for that.

Don't get to stuck on the names of WP. A WP is a WP the only difference can be that some have restrictions and you will require different documentation depending on your situation.

Have you applied for a change of conditions or know of anyone who has successfully managed to do it with Ontario Pnp certificate?

there is a lot of info out there that says we are eligible but most of the people I know have so far not managed to get an extension or BOWP without LMIA. Applications have been put on hold indefinitely.
Also You do not need a job offer to get a PNP. Masters and phd grads are eligible without any offers. So WP are usually open, not closed.

They will call you and say "If you already applied before your PNP certi expired, your PNP certi have never expired. We can provide a letter of support for extension of work permit."

I have reproduced information at the following website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/work/opinion/territories-provinces.asp

The relevant information has been reproduced below:
“Persons whose nominations have expired, but who submitted an application for permanent residence before the expiry date of the nomination and are waiting for their acknowledgement of receipt of the permanent residence application letter from CIC should either delay their application for a work permit under this provision until its receipt, or seek an extension of their certificate to the nominating jurisdiction or obtain an LMIA."

And they say, it doesnot mean the certificate per say but it is the support letter.
