Hey guys!

I have a question. Im going to apply for pr with my certificate.
I ve seen the check list with docs and there is section #16
Says to attach original photos of all family members even if they are not accompanying you to Canada.
Im a single applicant with no kids. But i hope to sponsor eventually my mum.
Does it mean I need her photo to attach with my application?
I also have a sister, do I need her pics too?
They are all back home.

Sorry if its a wrong topic to ask. Please guide me where I could ask such questions regarding gathering the documents.

Thank you!

Good morning there,

IF they are not included on your application as a dependent then there is nothing you need from them If you are the single applicant you only need to submit 6 Photos of yourself and that's about it

No. Immediate relatives are only spouse and kids. If you dont have any, you dont have to include anybody else's pictures. WHen you eventually do sponsor your mother, it will take atleast 3 years before you do so, so just include yours.

I was just reading through the manual for express entry.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/publications/employers/express-entry-presentation.asp

What i dont understand is "A portion of PNP programs will be allocated For Express Entry candidates". Mentioned at the end of the page. This contradicts the point that "When an Express Entry candidate is identified through a PNP, they can be handpicked and quickly invited to apply for permanent residence"

1. What is the criteria for a pnp candidate to be selected for ee or not?
2. What happens to those pnp candidates who aren't selected for ee?
3. Considering i m under the cursed opnp and havent received aor, how would i know if i will be put under ee or not. If not, then refer to question 2.

I, too, am waiting for the AoR. Application reached CIO on Aug 18th. I was nominated under OPNP.
I don't even care about total processing time, just need the AoR so that I can apply for the BOWP, only have 2 weeks left before my current WP expires. This wait is agonizing!
I think you can apply for WP using your nomination, I used my nomination certificate as my lmia, in my case I need to apply cause my husband status got to expired... just used online application and you can see if you can use your nomination cert... my husband got open permit but mine close, but thats okay, we got valid status till dec. 2016... applied sept 24, 5 wks after my nomination... just in case if you would like to extend your work permit...

So any update for any Ontario PNP applicant who applied for PR? I applied in June, and still no AOR.

Hi guys,
I'm new in this forum...
I sent my BC PNP application on early july and i have got my PNP file number a week later but I have seen processing times increasing fastly up to 8-9 months...
I can't wait so long (just like all of you!)
i would like to know if i can apply for a work permit while i'm waiting to be nominated for Bc PNP in order to move to Canada and start working for my prospective employer offered me the job position.

For Work permit application, either you need BC PNP nomination certificate or you need LIMA (earlier LMO) positive report from CIC. You can not applied based on PNP File number.

Hi there,

Do the CIC contact my employer to verify my position after medicals have been received? (I'm at the Federal stage)

Additionally, my ecas says:

1. We received your application

2. Medicals received.

Is there anything left in the process aside from waiting? Will they contact me, or my employer?

Yes, It is possible they can contact your employer on any stage of application, One of my friend's employer got verification, when CIC send the passport request.

Hi

New to this thread. I am in the same boat. Applied for PR under OPNP in mid july as PNP website mentioned processing is faster but no AOR yet. Thinking its a big mistake. I could have rather applied in CEC class and saved 1500 bucks and gotten a AOR by now.

Anyone who has applied around the same time frame heard any response yet? I did see some posts on QA and on hold OPNP which i had no clue about. Googled about it and it seems like it is for people who will be applying next year. Dont mean to create any confusion, its just my interpretation when i read it on the website.

Any reliable information on what is going on? Or prospects for light at the end of the tunnel ? Processing time is 17 months and at the going rate 6 months for just AOR?

Hey guys,
I have one question. If our hourly wage changes at our job, do we have to report that to cic or to the province, which nominated us. Please help.
