I just got the Aor ,,do u guys have any idea after how many days generally they take for medical request after The Aor..thanks in advance

My application also received on 18 August 2014 but still not receive AOR.
I am Nova Scotia nominated.
Anyone have any idea?

Would we hear back from CIC as quickly if we contacted them to withdraw??

This is nuts... I am at 14 weeks now and no AoR yet.

wont be right away but as long the request to withdraw is received before processing starts on your application, you should get your money back.
I would have done it by now except for the fact that I need a get some more documentation ready for the other categories. As soon as they are ready, I will ask for withdrawal.

I am trying to decide between CEC, FSW, and family. Eligible for all of them. Two of them requires me to take IELTS which is a hassle and family requires all sorts of notarized and translated documents.

My friend got her medical after 10 days she received the AOR.

It took me 7 days to get the Work Visa with my job offer on file.

Hi,
I also applied work permit with my job offer from manitoba and after submitting the additional document requested by High commission of canada to the second day of online apply.... i am waiting for my passport request and it has been 14 days.....can you tell me how long they gonna take to ask for my passport for the visa??

Good morning,

Please be advised that your application is in initial processing at CIO Sydney.

Should initial documents be required, you will be contacted by the processing agent and given an address where to send them at that time.

I applied through OPNP, and my application was received by CIO on June 9, so it has been almost 5 months! Still no AOR, and my Ontario PNP certificate expires in early November. Should my application be received by CIC before November in order for the certificate not to be considered expired? Or should I ask OPNP for an extension?

As far as I know, it is the same case for most Ontario Applicants. As far as I know, we should have sent our files before our PNP certificates expire. Since they say that the file is in initial review, I would assume that we donot have to worry about the PNP certificate expiry. Its exactly five months since when I applied (21st May)

Hey buddy,
Calm Down. I am in the same boat. I have pretty good job. I applied pnp which i got after a year and applied for pr and stuck from last 5 months. I sent an email to them no reply. Applied for GCMS notes no reply.My IELTS score has also expired and PNP Certificate. May be need to give again if want to re-apply in CEC in case. Plus next year CEC rules are also changing may be something like express entry. I feel bad too. I am also not sure what to do. Just 1 year and 3 months of work permit left. I am just still hoping that this mess will be over by end of this month. We will receive AOR and medical by Jan and PR by next june, july. ALL IS WELL. Praying to god for all of us.

can u please tell me the email address you sent email too. and what did you mention in email... like name or DOB ..... i sent email to them and no reply .... thanks in advance for any help
