i have a question which may be a bit late to ask... at this stage.
How certain are we that there is infact a delay for all opnp pr applicants?

What if only some applicants (only those who apparently joined this forum) or other threads have issues. i dont have many friends, a few i know got aor in april. They have the same profile as me.. cio has my file as confirmed by them. No requests for any missing or additional docs. Sorry guys; i m at my wit's end..

Me and my friends also don't get any response. We sent in back in mid Jun-start Jul.
So don't worry I believe the process is still on the way.

Been almost a month now since me (in Canada) and my spouse (in Philippines) did our medical and still not updated on ecas. I already asked the office where we did our medical and been told that they already uploaded it but still no update on my e-cas. Anyone gone through the same experience before?

My timeline:

Application Received: June 6, 2014
Medical Request: August 6, 2014
Medical Done: August 13, 2014
Medical Received: :( NO update on my ecas :(

When did you file your application?

You can definitely travel outside of Canada as long as you have a valid work permit and, if you're from a country that needs one, a Temporary Resident Visa. I think that there would be no harm in informing CIC that you're planning to travel for 2-3 weeks in case they need to contact you for anything. OPNP does not need to know, I think...

I was wondering if there's any point to inform the CIC about travelling outside Canada for 2-3 weeks. I haven't even received my AOR yet, so how do I inform CIC? Or should I inform PNP? Or just make a trip without informing?

Are you an Ontario PNP nominee? When did your PR application reach CIO?

I don't think it will be effect on your application, only concern is if CIC need something from your side then u can sent it.

I am in a similar situation since I am planning a 3 week trip as well and have no AOR yet. My plan was, if I don't have AOR by the time I leave, I won't bother informing CIC. PNP at this stage I feel does not need to know since I am not expecting them to be contacting me anymore. We receive AOR via e-mail, correct? Because if that's the case, and I get my AOR while I am overseas, I would just e-mail CIC and let them know that I am outside of Canada for vacation but planning to return soon, and will get medicals done, etc.

Just make sure you have valid status and transit visa and you should be ok.

Has anyone else been in a similar situation that could confirm/deny this?
