Astasti I was wondering if an affidavit can work for verification of your name change?

I am considering that as last option but the affidavit has to be supported by the efforts you made to obtain the requested police clearance.

Hi seniors, I had a question that I was hoping that someone could answer. I am expecting to get my Medical request soon, my PR application includes me and my husband. I work in the Vancouver area and he currently works in northern BC and is on monthly rotations. Can we get our medicals with different panel physicians, for example he sees someone in Fort St John and I see someone in Vancouver? I am the primary applicant, will they use "my" file number for his medical if we don't go together? Is this an issue at all? I am concerned that the Medical request will come when he is still not going to be back in Vancouver for 30 days.

Would be great to hear some thoughts from you!

Don't worry, just take the medical examination from any doctors in their list and close to you/your husband. You don't have to be at the same place/same time.

It is absolutely doable and fine. I did my medicals in Edmonton, Canada and my family did their medicals in New Delhi, India.

You guys are in the same province while we did our medicals from different countries.

Hi all, am in a really urgent situation. I got PPR, and emailed CIC asking for an extension to the 30 days they have given to submit my passport, but have not yet heard back. I cannot submit my passport in the next 30 days as I am traveling...which simply cannot be postponed.

Can anyone please share CIC's phone number? Who do I talk to about this? I am very worried.

I think you can only call CIC on this number from within Canada?

I just dialed the same number and it is the correct number.

I see - I am traveling in the states now, so that number wasn't working. I checked this link (http://students.ubc.ca/enrolment/courses-registration/course-registration/required-immigration-documents/CIC), and called the number, but it's useless..."all lines are busy" etc, and I am unable to reach anyone.
