Can you please explain this process? I'm a Nexus card holder, and plan to go to an enrollment center as soon as I receive my new passport (just became a citizen few days ago). Did you set up an appointment at the enrollment centre? Or just walk in? What did you say - you need a document update...

I think references do NOT need to be Canadian citizens...only guarantors...correct? I'm thinking of using an acquaintance (who is Canadian citizen) as a reference...but she might not know specific details about me. So what questions are asked of references and guarantors? It would be nice to...

Sure...but the biggest problem is my flight back home to Canada will be just 2 hours after my meeting ends (it's the last flight for that day)...and without NEXUS, I'll most likely miss my flight! Oh well, it is what it is...

This is the part I'm a little worried about. In that case, it might take time to receive the new NEXUS card (after my trip). So would I be able to use NEXUS when traveling on this trip with my current card?

I'll have a trip a couple of weeks after my oath ceremony, so I obviously will need to apply for my Canadian passport urgently. I know that I then have to visit a Nexus enrollment center to let them know of my new citizenship status, after I receive my passport. What is this Nexus update...

For what it's worth, I still haven't received a letter in the mail for my oath ceremony next week. I called CIC and they said I'm scheduled for the event, and I don't need the notice with me to attend, which is a relief. Just in case anyone else is also in the same boat.

To those who have the oath ceremony on March 16 (with ECAS update on March 2)...have you already received your letter in the mail, or an email notification?

I think it will take at least 2-3 weeks after the DM status to get the Oath notification, seeing as the next oath ceremonies are on Mar 2 and 3 (and it's too late to add other people now).

Did you have any notification about the oath ceremony?

I wrote my test on Feb 16 in Ottawa and just got DM this morning. Nothing yet on the oath ceremony though. I guess I'll get a letter in the mail (even though I've indicated email communication preference).

Where do you look for upcoming oath ceremonies? Is it this link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/citcer/search-recherche-eng.aspx#resultList Looks like Ottawa's next is on Feb 28...but I don't see any more for Feb, March and April (while Mississauga has tons!). Will this be updated?

For the Canadian university degree (which I have)...is this the document (diploma) that you are given during convocation? Mine is currently framed...is this the original document that needs to be brought in for the interview? Or is there another document they expect to see?
