I called and got this from CIC:Randy.Orton said:Do you guys calling CIC will be of any help? Then can atleast check my current status with the help of my file number?
This makes sense since we have been waiting for a month now since AOR.Sandipppp said:I called and got this from CIC:
The application is in Ottawa and is under initial review. The initial review basically covers security/police checks, the accuracy and consistency of the information provided and checking up the documents. After that the medical request will be sent.
I am waiting for my Medical Request too.
I don't think so._MK_ said:This makes sense since we have been waiting for a month now since AOR.
I guess they now do security/police checks before medical results. Before they would collect medical results/other relevant docs and then send to ottawa for scrutinizing them.
This actually could mean that once they ask for medical results, you are already approved in principle. So processing would be faster. I am just guessing however.
I was talking about people who got AORs after 9 months. In your case, refer to what I said about how they used to process before, ie, collect everything and then send to Ottawa while we have someone who got AOR recently after many months and is already at security/police check without even getting medical request.sinp-nominee2014 said:I don't think so.
Because I contact CIC today and as per the rep my paper file is at OTTAWA my background and security etc is still in process I have got medicals received 8 months back. however my AOR and medical only took 2 months.
I am not sure anymore of anything......... so frustrated........... Waiting game is no fun......
Yep, that explains it._MK_ said:I was talking about people who got AORs after 9 months. And although its expiring in Nov 2016, I am curious whether I can obtain extension through BOWP? I have got AOR for my PNP PR application. I know it wont come to that but just wanna know.
Thanks. I know I have to apply within 4 months until expiry. I wanted to know that it doesnt matter if I have a Closed work permit to get a bridging Open Wp.sinp-nominee2014 said:you cannot apply for it. you can do so in July 2016. You do not need to worry about that. You will get your PR before NOV 2016 ;Dnonresidentdesi said:I have a closed work permit. Yes as long as you have AOR it does not matter what type of current work permit you holdnonresidentdesi said:Thanks. I know I have to apply within 4 months until expiry. I wanted to know that it doesnt matter if I have a Closed work permit to get a bridging Open Wp.
