Apply at Canadian consulate for a travel document or have your friend mail you the PR card if it arrives while you are in india.

5-10 working days depending upon where u live.

My friend works for BORDER SERVICES and she suggested that if you are leaving the country do so but with you PR card. No big issues if you are going without the card but it will be a hassle for both parties when you enter Canada. They look at you file and take extra time and you wait sitting at the airport forlong hours.

My another friend who got PR last year and left for India. I took his PR card as I was also going to India few weeks after him.

Because the quality assurance was in effect the time.

what is quality assurance effect? because they found lots of fake cases ? still don't understand I thought it was the EE effecting the speed.

Those who got PPR, how long were you in "in process". I understand a few went directly to PPR but what about the rest? I am trying to gauge their speed.
