No you will get close work permit if you are already employeed on PNP certificate under section 183 .Bcoz for open work permit you need first stage approval from federal i.e. AOR

Hi All,

Firstly congratulations to all those who got their AORs.

My husband is in Canada on open work permit which is valid till May 15th 2015. He is working for a private firm as a PM. He has applied for PR on PNP-Masters category at Novoscotia(Ontario). His PNP will expire on March 15th 2015. He has not received the AOR yet.

Now what are the possibilities and options for applying WP extension? As said in the previous posts of this thread, we have tried for an extension letter from Oppurtunites ontario but they havent helped in this regard. They said they will not be providing any extension letter and PNP certificate should be sufficient. So, can he apply for WP extension with PNP certificate? Or does he need any other?

Also, Is that so that he will receive a closed wp in above case?

I am in India and planning to move to canada, hopefully in march on visitor visa.
In the above case if in case my husband gets a closed WP, will I be eligible to apply for a WP after reaching canada?

your husband will receive closed work permit based on PNP and you will receive open work permit (based on spouse's closed work permit).

one more question my friend...my cousin's IELTS submitted during MPNP (Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program) is already expired...can he submit the said expired IELTS for CIC PR application?

exactly yaar. no ray of hope. we are being happy for getting AOR, but getting PR is a long process. AOR is just the beginning. don't know how many hurdles we all have to cross. Canadian Immigration system sucks. No wonder why Canada could not become world super power. Because Canadians are big cheats. They took huge fee for OPNP and no special treatment for us. Instead we are treated as fraud people. If we are given normal procedure then they should not charge heavy fee. I will see their processing till mid year otherwise going back to home. Don't want to spoil my talent, time and money in this bull*censored word* country.

after 7 month, CIC charged the processing fee on my credit card.
heck so long just to look at the file !

I doubt the whole fu..cking PR process would take more than 2 years.
