PNP PR APPLICANTS JANUARY 2015

Hi guys,

Happy new year and wish you all the best!
I'm January applicant and waiting for DM
I know the website says the processing time is 15months and I guess it will be March 2016. However, I'm planning to go to my country for vacation in March and I was wondering if I can go in March..
I already bought flight tickets but this March is 15th month since I applied for PR..I don't know what to do and so frustrated as nobody knows what would happen and how long it will take..
I really hope I could go visit my family in March but it seems tricky and risky to go out of canada..?
I just called cic and the only answer I could hear after 20minutes of waiting was 'the processing time is 15months'...
I hope we all can hear something from cic in January.

I am stuck in a similar dilemma. I am also a January applicant and waiting for DM. I have applied for vacation with my company for March but did not book any tickets. With the refugee stuff going on, CIC has increased the processing time for many other immigration categories. I am not confident that we will get anything positive by March. If you have an open work permit and a visa to come back to Canada then might as well go see your family. I am waiting for a new open work permit which won't be here until April so I am dependent on PR. If you have those two things, go home and enjoy. If not, I will recommend to not leave the country until PR is granted.

I will be shocked if we don't get our PR's by April. So, I think you should be fine with work permit until then. PPR comes with a 30 day deadline so if you are not planning to stay more than a month at home, you should be just fine. When you come back, make sure you have your pictures and paperwork ready so you can send your Passport and any other paperwork with speed post.

I will be shocked if we don't get our PR's by April. So, I think you should be fine with work permit until then. PPR comes with a 30 day deadline so if you are not planning to stay more than a month at home, you should be just fine. Today I got an email from CIC about PPR - "Ready for Visa", although my ecas status says my application is "In Process".

My Timeline :

Application Received by CIC : January 5, 2015
AOR received : May 7, 2015
Medical Request : May 12, 2015
In Process in ECAS : August 21, 2015
PPR : January 8, 2016

I hope they will update my ECAS to "Decision Made" soon. I heard some applications had PPR sent before decision made in ECAS.
Best of luck to all January applicants. It's been a really stressful yearlong wait for us.

hey buddy let me know when you get your passport back bcze I sent my passport on request jan6 . I sent on same day.
