AOR starts with EP. Some threads are making rumors about the X meaning we're into express entry? I hardly think that's true, although wouldn't complain about it if it is .

Let's keep the AOR's coming !!!!!

I'm guessing now that medicals would be in the next 3/4 weeks.

Any other applicant received AOR yet?

Hey Guys,

I have applied for PR which was signed for my registered mail on the 30th of Dec. Still no AOR. I brought my PNP letter to extend visa to the Douglas border and they were only able to extend it by 90 days because I didn't have any AOR. I was told as soon as I have it, I can extend my visa without having to pay again. Does anybody know how long I can expect to wait? My work visa is due to expire on the 9th of May and I am getting a little anxious!

My wp has been refused on the basis that my pnp nomination was expired by the time i applied. Now, do i have to stop working? or what? i dont have valid work permit or visa, so still can i get my open work permit (Got AOR, 15 april 15) at the border? or do i need to apply online and wait for my work permit to come? will it be open work permit this time, right? bcz i got my AOR now? or do i need the extension of my pnp nomination?

upfront medical works only if you are sure that you will be asked for MR in a week or so...but if you are not sure for month(s) then it is of no use anyways....

Hi, You need to apply for restoration. you can't work anymore as you don't have a valid status in Canada right now. Apply for restoration and along with that apply for open work permit. I am not sure if they would help you at the border as you don't have any valid status as of now.

Its not a rumor that the AOR starts with X. Most of the people have got AOR with X as their starting alphabet. X may stand for temporary.

Hi, You need to apply for restoration. you can't work anymore as you don't have a valid status in Canada right now. Apply for restoration and along with that apply for open work permit. I am not sure if they would help you at the border as you don't have any valid status as of now.

Well, i stopped working today though i didnt get my refused work permit letter yet...however, i stopped..probably i ll get it next wee

With your AOR you can apply for a bridging open work permit. Now the tricky part if that your permit already expired, so I'm not too sure. Could happen that you go the border and then they deny your entry. Hopefully somebody has a more clear answer for this question. AOR has to help for sure!

Restoration of Status wont happen on the border. Don't try that. Its more risky than applying online.

That's what I'm thinking. They could perfectly tell him: yeahhh you're not getting in, see ya !!

Be careful, just apply for an extension online.

But the point is: they have not sent me any official letter yet, neither they have updated it online, online it says: its open for review, and in process and a final decision has not been reached yet..NOT started...
So, i dont know what to do...whether to wait for the decision ? continue working? what? i have sent my file (AOR)number already, do i need extension letter of the pnp? bcz its my permanent job and i dont want to lose it?

You shouldn't have stopped working. While is on process you're ok. On the other hand, if it's still in process, then they'll be able to see your AOR on the system and they will approve your work permit extension.

So actually you're ok !!!

Buddy, I am not clear with your situation, what have you applied for?

If your WP has expired and you applied for a Open WP before it expired then you can still keep on working as you will be on implied status.

But if you applied after your WP was expired, then you can't work till your status is restored and you get your new WP.

I applied for PR in Jan and i got my AOR 15 April 15. Thats done!
Now, in Feb 2015 i applied for work permit beofre the expiration of my work permit BUt by the time i applied my PNP letter was expired, as i didnt know it has anything to do with my wp.
The other day i called, and the agent said, my application permit is refused bcz my nomination was expired before i applied. However, he said that the official letter is not issued yet and you may receive it shortly... then i got my AOr on 15 April 15 and i updated my wp application, right? Now they say its refused, but officially i have not received any letter, nor the online status has changed yet, as it still says my application in process and the decision has not been reached yet... processing time and online timeline show that they are working on application submitted before 5 Feb 2015 but i submitted it after 7 Feb 2015.. Now one agent said, stop working as soon as , and the other agent said: technically you didnt receive any letter nor online status has been updated so technically you should continue working.. now what should i do?
Secondly, if the status is still open and i sent them my file number,then it shouldnt be refused right? bcz i didnt get any official letter yet? on phone two agents told me two diff things...so???
will it be refused now, based on the story above?
will it be considered, okey? will they issue my open work permit?
