I think you can have a draft in either name "Canadian High Commission" or "Receiver General for Canada" in either currency INR or CAD payable at New Delhi

Quoting from http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/fees-frais.aspx?lang=eng

"Fees are payable in Canadian dollars or Indian Rupees. Only bank drafts (demand drafts) or certified cheques are accepted; cash is not accepted for fee payment. The bank draft should be made for the exact amount and in favour of "Canadian High Commission" or "Receiver General for Canada" payable at New Delhi."

okay..so you sent the draft in INR or CAD? if it was INR that explains the delay...may be CIO Sydney could'nt encash so sent the entire document without opening to Delhi VO and they are sending your AOR and MR?

LOA= Letter of Approval (PNP)

before you had to send it to chc new delhi or the concerned visa office and thats how they used to do it, according to the new system, the checklist said it had to be in canadian dollars and addressed to receiver general of canada.. either ways its a good thing for you mate.. glad it worked out for you .. really happy for ya .. cheers mate :)

What does you current status show online - "IN PROCESS'?

yup sfawzy2002 and manubobby feeling sooo relax now.......they have their own procees so may be they cashed draft because my draft is in canadian dollars... :D

I thought that if VO is Buffalo, AOR and MR are received at the same time? but if AOR is sent via email and MR via snail mail then that's incorrect...can someone clarify for me? Anyone received MR via email? Thx.

I think the MR can not be received by email.
As one of my friends QSW received the MR (he's before the CIO change) , it's an envelope that should be opened at the doctor.
So it should be sent via snail mail. (my guess)
