Yay! Congrats Jonmonc.
I'm a bit confused by the letter. It says the average processing time is 10 months (from submission date?) and then it also says to contact
the office directly if no instructions have been sent after 120 days ??? any ideas anyone?

Ayinka

I submitted my application on 7th Feb and I did bank draft to pay the Fee. Today I went bank ... but no update yet. :(

Did you pay by credit card.

anyway Congrts again.

Hi everyone, ive already received an AOR from my V/O this morning. Still waiting for a medical request.

just wondering:
1.)do they send the medical request via email or is it sent via snail mail/regular mail?
2.) how long of a wait would it be to book an appointment with a designated medical clinic?

CONGRATS jonmonc, mayonnaise and ayinka.. your details have been updated .. cheers .. :)

GRATZ dude!!! :D
Anyways, MRs are sent via snail mails, and it will depend on your location on how many days it would take a regular mail reaches you from manila. About the accredited clinics, it's stated on your MR. BEST WISHES!!!

hi arise... all payments are addressed to "Receiver General of Canada" if you are in canada..then go to the bank and get a Bank Draft or Money Draft(bank might recommend one of the two as one is cheaper) draft dont need account number...just payable to Receiver General of Canada

see this page will address your questions clearly...also if you are submitting to CIO(assuming your a PNP...so you need to send only to CIO)

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EP7TOC.asp#pay-fee

check the section

Method of payment options

if my VO is Buffalo, then it makes sense that my file will be transferred to Ottawa to get AOR/MR becuase it was supposed to Buffalo. Now, if my VO is NDVO, would my case be transferred to Ottawa also? The ottawa can do is just to send me AOR email, then they have to send whole file to ND. Then ND will send me AOR or maybe ppr (not for other VO though). CIO may want to send all non-buffalo applications directly to their home VO after cashing money, rather than send to Ottawa.

How did you receive your AOR-VO mayonnaise? was it via email also? I think MR are send via regular mail.

Thanks :)

I think you can have a draft in either name "Canadian High Commission" or "Receiver General for Canada" in either currency INR or CAD payable at New Delhi

Quoting from http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/fees-frais.aspx?lang=eng

"Fees are payable in Canadian dollars or Indian Rupees. Only bank drafts (demand drafts) or certified cheques are accepted; cash is not accepted for fee payment. The bank draft should be made for the exact amount and in favour of "Canadian High Commission" or "Receiver General for Canada" payable at New Delhi."
