If NDVO can send MR/PPR together, why other VO cannot do the same? any reason for NDVO can do such special handling?

its not about why other visa offices cannot send it Mr. bkd.. all visa offices have their own ways of handling applications, some do request MR along with AOR, while some just send AOR, MR and PPR all separately .. New delhi in the past one year have been giving out AOR and MR and PPR at the same time, they do this to expedite the process and also in order to avoid unnecessary delays in requesting PPR and they have also clearly mentioned that requesting for MR and PPR all at once does not guarantee visa, they are just doing it to ease things for them and the applicants.. cheers

I SENT DRAFT IN FAVOUR OF CITIZENSHIP AND IMMIGRATION CANADA, NEW DELHI.....

Hiyya mate,

First of all sorry to see that you have addressed the draft to cic new delhi, unfortunately there is nothing that can be done now, all you can do is wait patiently, and hope that if all you other documents are correct, they might send the draft to NDVO and they would encash it there (being optimistic here) .. but dont lose hope .. im sure .. things will be fine.. cheers mate..

Michael

mate.. really wish i could say somethin to cheer u up.. I know you r probably the only one who have had to wait so long, and I can imagine how frustrating it is .. but now that its been past 6 weeks, did you try sending them an email regard your application, I think you are allowed to contact them, the good news is, your draft has been encashed .. which means theres nothing wrong with your file and that it is complete.. (maybe they are giving preference to people who are outside canada) .. dunno .. anywho .. dont sweat it mate .. im sure ull hear from them soon .. cheers .. :)

I haven't heard anything from cio since i submitted my docs last jan 25,2012... i always call my bank and nothing was debited to my credit card.. so worried.. will i expect a return documents? it's my 36 days today ..

hiyya claudine,

the time line they have mentioned on the website is 6 weeks, so I would recommend you to wait until then and if you still dont hear from them, you can contact them via email and inquire about the status of you application... just be patient, am sure its on its way, there are people here on this thread who havent heard from them for over 60 days now .. im sure u will hear from them soon.. cheers mate.. :)

Hi Everyone,

I would like to know if there is anyone who used his friend/sponsor credit card detail or his sponsor prepared Bank draft for paying the processing Fee payable to the Receiver General of Canada?

Thanks for the feedback,

Arise

the draft does not usually say the name of the account holder, especially if its a foreign currency draft, so it does not matter who gets the draft as long as it is included in the package and it is canadian dollars.. I am not sure about credit cards though, as I did not use my cc info, I just sent a bank draft, its better to use a draft because, if there are insufficient funds on the credit card then at the time of encashment, it could be a problem .. so its better if u use a draft coz the amount the debited from the account when the draft is issued .. cheers
