I send my FSW application on 6th march, they have received the application on 12th March by courier.

I have provided a Current bank certification letter as settlement fund. But the bank provided me a letter dated as 29.02.2011 instead of 29.02.2012.

Hence, I messed up this part in the initial application.

I didn't catch this part until now :'(......can you tell me what can be done now
 
I guess .... Qorax needs to chip in with this one .. but as far as i remember you will need to send an amendment letter ...

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but recently CIC announced that they were close to reaching the 10,000 total cap for all NOC on March 8th. So I think maybe your application may not even be within in the cap since it was received after the announcement.

Oh I wasn't in doubt, I believe the 10,000 has or will shortly been reached. I did find the announcement though on the CIC site, had to do a little more digging. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp
 
I guess the current no. of complete applications has reached 8950......so still 1050 to go......nd they have received my application on 12 march...also m applying under category 7241(electrician) which has currently only 225 applications...so i still can be optimistic
 
I am not sure if the members here are addressing the concerns ... its got to do with the bank letter ... and not to do with how many applications are left for CAP to be filled .. Jaggy i will advise you to wait for inputs from other seniors

There was no Feb 29th in 2011. The CIC may understand that it is a typo. I hope you will get through this.
 
No matter, there's nothing you can do until you have a file number (and preferably the visa office file number, not the file number from Sydney, since in my experience they change the number when they send it to the visa office.)

With a file number, you can write a letter explaining the discrepancy if you feel it is necessary. But I suspect that the visa officer probably will also notice it is a typo. If necessary to clarify, the visa office will just ask you to send updated financial information, probably when they ask you for medicals.

I just hope that they don't close my file just on this silly error and ask me for an explanation on this part. :)
 
Request other seniors to pitch in and explain on some possible scenarios that may occur in such a case.

Also its understood that I don't have any arranged employment offer wid me and hence showing settlement funds is as necessary.......
 
Just Today I got a new letter from the bank with the amendments you asked for Ravs.

The bank has also mentioned that it was an typing error on their part in the letter.

I hope that i get thru this without further trouble........
