Hello ARD1979
First of your application will be treated as a new application no matter what, so once they receive it they will take it from step 1 again.
SO My suggestion is .. file a new application with a new calculator and sign everything with a new date because if they receive your application signed with old date 3 months or more that may be another reason for returning the application back, and make sure you check every single document's that you are sending this time, Now you will have more extra days to cover you residency requirement's which is good
Include a letter with your new application explaining that your first application was returned for 1-2-3 reason
Good luck and i hope everything goes well.
Good point OTTOWA2013,
ARD1979,
When I said "significant" days over the 1095 days required, I was just referring to the fact that higher number of days provide more room of error... but since you have 1100, I believe 5 days buffer is OK as long as you are very confident that you got the residency calculation right.
Now back to the point raised by OTTOWA2013, you might want to go with solution #2 I proposed... meaning:
1-) Redo application and residence calculator (and sign both with identical new or current date) - this will provide you with more days over the 1095 days required (unless you left CANADA after applying...) and will make your application current (no risk of rejection because of > 3 months old rule)
2-)Attach your IELTS results copy
3-) On page 4 of the application, select or tickmark the box "Result of CIC-approved third-party language test"
4-) Attach a cover letter (and the letter you received from CIC) to explain that your application was returned and the changes you've made
No need to change anything about the fees... send the same proof of payment you sent before
Please check your IELTS test results to ensure that they meet the following requirements:
•International English Language Testing System (IELTS), general training, not the academic version You must have achieved a score of: ◦4.0 or higher in speaking, and
◦4.5 or higher in listening. (Please note: If the test was done before November 28, 2008, we will accept a level 4 or higher); or
