My husband got his PR on fourteenth of November 2015 and he applied as a single person as we weren't married yet and our marriage was on twenty fourth of October 2015 I was shocked because he didn't tell me anything about his application to Canada before our marriage and I completely refused immigration to Canada so I sent an email to cic explaining that he is now married, unfortunately he knew about that email and he stole my passport and the the papers concerning my education and work needed to add me to his file and yet I don't know if he has added me or not.
My question is would this email lead to his refusal or not?? And if not howlong would it take to get his visa??

Dear lord. If he got his PR last year, what do you mean "how long would it take to get his visa?" You realise October is before November right? So he was married when he got his PR and committed misrepresentation.

It sounds like you are married to a sociopath. Maybe it's time to get a divorce and forget him? You're his wife and he doesn't tell you about IMMIGRATING to ANOTHER COUNTRY! That's a problem, girl. Forget about CIC, get out of this relationship now.

We are Christians coptic orthodox so it is very difficult to get divorced, but if I have a chance I would divorce him for sure, I am so worried about my future he has got his PR and I don't know when he will land on Canada, moreover after he knew about the email I sent he applied for annulment of marriage in the court but this would take at least a year and most probably he won't get it, I don't know any thing concerning the steps of immigration I am so confused and don't know what to do

He has got his PR after three weeks of our marriage would that also be considered as misrepresentation? And if so when will he notified that he is refused?

Your meaning is not clear. Do you mean he got his passport with the PR visa stamped in it on November 14, 2015? If yes, has he gone to Canada since then? If he has gone to Canada since then, he is now a PR. If he did not tell CIC that he was married, and did not tell them that at the border, then he cannot sponsor you. If you were added to the application, you would have had to take a medical test, and sign immigration documents.

If he has not gone to Canada yet, then your email might cause his application to be rejected, or for CIC to revoke his PR visa.

Yes, if he comes to Canada and says he is single, he is committing misrepresentation.

At the minimum, do you know the UCI or file number? This way, your marriage certificate can be matched to the file. If not, it may not get into the file or take a long time to do so.

This is my own opinion only. CIC may or may not accept this information as it is, as it did not come from the applicant or his representative. CIC can be quite strict on these things, even to the spouse.

Strictly speaking, if your husband has not updated his family composition to include a wife (not even adding you as a dependent to go to Canada), it is a case of misrepresentation. That said, how that evidence is produced, and accepted to be true, only CIC would know. When/whether they will investigate, who knows.

Talk to your husband first to understand why he is doing this. Does he know that if you are not added to the new family composition information, even if he manages to squeeze through and go to Canada, you will never be able to be sponsored. This means the end of the relationship. Is that what he wants? Or does he think that he needs to apply as a single due to express/professional immigrant class?

If your attempts at conversations do not work...I hate to bring religion into all this, so don't take any offense. As both of you belong to a strong Christian organization, perhaps you can get help from the pastor/priest to talk to your husband. Perhaps he will be influenced by people of authority in the religious community.

Without the file number, CIC may have lost your documents, or simply not have known which file to add them to. It sounds like your husband has not been rejected yet - if the application is rejected, he will get a letter from CIC about it. For you to be added to the file, you would have to fill out some forms and sign them, get police certificates, and get a medical. CIC might request the police certificates and medical later.

I agree with the above poster. If your husband cannot explain what is going on better than he has done, try getting someone else to talk to him about it. It may just be that your husband does not really understand how to do the application.

I don't want to be added to his file and I don't want to to immigrate with him as I totally lost trust in him, I sent our marriage certificate just to prove that he is a married person now and that he is committing misrepresentation.
I also talked to cic toll-free number and they told me they will send the marriage certificate to the investigation and of course they didn't give me any information for whether he is rejected or not, and unfortunately I don't know his file number, all I got is a photo of a paper sent to him before our marriage from cic telling him to complete his documents and the photo is not clear. Now he is staying with his mother (the worst person I have ever met in my life), we haven't talked since 3 months, he told me before that he would never leave his mother and if he couldn't bring her to live with him in the same house in Canada he will never immigrate. He applied as a worker, he is an accountant, I don't know the reason of his actions but most likely it's because of his mother.

His mother can't immigrate with him. Best she could do is apply for a TRV and come to Canada as a visitor. But she would eventually need to leave. If TRV is refused then she can't go to Canada at all.

As for his PR app, if he's married then according to rules you MUST be added to his app, get a medical and police checks done, and also be approved for PR. If you don't do this and he just lands on his current COPR/visa as single, then not only can you never be sponsored to Canada, but his own PR status could be revoked for misrepresentation.

If you've already sent info of your marriage to the visa office, his file may be flagged. This means if he tried to land in Canada under his invalid "single" COPR, the CBSA officer could see notes on his case and reject his PR landing and force him to fly back to home country.

Thanks all for your reply I really appreciate it, I have one more important question, howlong would it take for a passport to be stamped after getting the approval on his PR?? This question is very important to me because we have issues in the family court

Anywhere from a few days to a few months - it varies.

If the visa office said he was approved for PR 7 months ago, but he does not yet have anything stamped on his passport, they might be investigating. Or maybe he does have the visa, but has decided not to go to Canada without his mother, in which case the visa will expire.
