You did not read carefully my posts above. If you paid it already, just pay it again and ask for a reimbursement. Don't forget to send it with an explanation letter stating why you request reimbursement.

The answer is there!!!!

It looks like an Approval in principle (AIP) which is almost the last step of the process. Now, you have to pay the fee for right to become resident permanent which is $500. You can probably use this letter + CSQ (Not 100% sure) to get federal or provincial benefits such as health card with, your work permit...etc.

Click on the link on:

Permanent Residence

Right of permanent residence fee

https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp
Don t worry, I read carefully.

They also said “if not done already”, to be on the safe side, paying and including an explanation letter is a great idea however:

- I said in another post that I am confused on which option to choose in this link: https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/index.asp
I don t know if I should choose sponsorship application or permanent residence as the type of application. I thought maybe Permanent residence since the application is only about me now, my wife was approved as a sponsor and her part is done, but I don t know to which program of permaI correspond when I click the Permanent residence option. (Is it “right of permanent residence fee - not express entry” ?)

It would be awesome if someone that has done an inland sponsorship can answer this question or if he had the same dilemma

Also, where could I include that explanation letter? Should I send a webform with the receipt and an explanation letter?

thanks in advance for all of your answers, you are and have been very kind :)

I still hold that since this is a form letter, it does not mean that you have not paid, nor that they expect further payment - it's just a reminder in a form letter. (And while I can't be certain the increase in the fee almost certainly does not apply for those who paid in advance)

Call them to check. No, I don't know the precise menu selections to get an agent, nor whether one can check fees outstanding through the automated part.

He overthinks and takes all the global information parts of the letter attributed to him. he misled me yesterday by saying that he has to pay the permanent residence fee again. After reading that letter again this morning, Nowhere it says that those fees are required.

NB: Please ignore my post regarding the fee as well as the explanation letter i was talking about.

Mate, please don't confuse yourself, you almost see the light at the horizon. The letter contains the global information and the next step as well. The part that I highlighted yesterday is the important information you need to be focus on. You are eligible to become RP; but you have to wait until you meet other requirements, medical, security...etc. The rest is the global information. That's all brother.

If you are not sure of something, contact IRCC for further information or clarification. 1-888-242-2100 and press the option you need. There is a long wait!!!

It would have been a fair bit easier to figure out what was going on if he'd bothered mentioning that the letter was in French (and, hint, doesn't understand it well).

I thought I mentionned the letter was in French.

I understand French, I am actually a French Teacher hahaaha, but listen guys, I was overthinking it, many things happened with Immigration these past 3 years so it has become a sort of anxiety everytime I receive a letter from them and I want to make sure I do not miss a thing,

Anyway, I called them today and the agent said I have payed my PR fees when I payed for the sponsorship fees and I didn t need to pay them again,

Thanks again guys!

Bureaucratic French is a different language altogether.

Anyway glad it worked out.
