ask your courier how long it will take to send the documents from here to nova scotia. usually, it's around 2-3 working days for DHL and 3-5 working days for LBC. you can send the documents next week before july 1 depending on which courier you'll use.

What I'm trying to figure out is when is the best time to send my documents to NS?
If I send earlier than July 1, 2012, ie. June 29, would they consider the date when evaluating my papers? Because as per policy, they have cut offs and they will just start processing applications on or after every July 1st of the year...

hmmm... if that's the case, it would be best to print, sign the forms, and submit the documents on july 1. i was under the impression that you can send it before july 1 as i've read in some posts that some people have already completed their forms and one immigration consultancy firm (forgot the name) suggested to send the documents earlier because of the quotas per occupation.

Hi Ez,

You can validate,print and sign your papers even before july 1..CIO don't count your paper as to what is written on the file but rather on when they receive it..you just have to make sure that they receive it july 1 onwards..if they will receive it on june 30 or 31st...they will count is as to the previous processing and automatically send it back to you...

Now for when is the best time to send it...you have to weigh in some factors,if you send it before july 1..and you are pretty sure that it will arrive on july 1 exactly..at complete documents,points,job match etc...definitely pasok ka kahit kunyari 500 lang ang quota at 1000 kayong pumasa sa processing..kasi nga as per OP6..they count the applications as per date of receipt...however when on july 1 ka magsesend ng papers, you will fear na sa dami ng nagaaply at sa konti ng quota papasok ka ba??lalo na almost 4-5 days dumadating yung papers natin...sabihin man nilang 3-4 days..yung sa friend ko nga naligaw pa...lucky lang tlga sya kasi umabot pa sa last day pero ang good thing dito sa july 1 nagaanounce ang CIO ng bagong rules,terms at occupational list..so kung may bago silang hingin you can still add it on your application unlike kung intransit na ang papers mo...

many thanks for the explanation. i guess need na lang namin maghintay for the new ministerial instructions before sending it. hopefully kasama pa rin yung NOC 1122 and walang additional requirements.

if the new ministerial instructions are announced earlier and the requirements / eligible occupations remain unchanged, maybe we can send out our applications by the 29th since june 30 and july 1 are weekends (some couriers i asked confirmed that they deliver only during weekdays / working days). i think it's best to use DHL or UPS since those are known internationally.

i'm not sure if there's a negative impact if the principal applicant is unemployed as of the moment. if someone knows, appreciate it if you can share.

alam ko self-addressed mailing labels lang yung nakalagay sa checklist. and about sa NOC, list down mo lang yung occupations na may NOC code and rank it kung saan na NOC mo gusto ka iassess.

hehe..tama!alala ko pa un mga stressful days na yun..taas ng anxiety ko..text lang ako ng text sainyo.hehe!

un iba sis may binili sila sa handyman un plastic bag na bina-vacuum.para mas matipid sa space..
ako pinlantsa ko nlng mga damit ko at saka ko nilagay sa mga white transparent plastics..separate ang mga shirts,pants etc sa bawat plastics tapos sinulatan ko kung ilang piraso ang laman hehe.(kung sakali lang ma random check)..

23 kilos per bag lang naman daw ang pwede..tapos 2 bags lang allowed..ayaw na nga ako ng tita ko padalhin ng mga damit kasi meron na daw sakanila at iba naman daw uso doon na damit.hehe!kaso sabi ko sayang nmn,kahit ilan lang na pambahay nlng..tsaka sabi ko din kelangan din ma satisfy ang IO sa mga dala dala ko na I will be staying there for good..kaya 2 bags sakin ay pwede na..

yun laptop ko din,dati kasi hindi registered un windows ko..pinapalitan ko narin ng registered or licensed na windows kasi in preparation din sa random checking.. ;D
