may students who apply pg diploma after graduation got refusal frm visa office .... now tell me d true
see finally its on you. many ppl say many things, but finally its on you to decide what you have to do.

From my research. Canada is the cheapest place to study before NZ. and you should definitely give a thought as your spending almost 30000 CAD (2 yr tuition + GIC).

That's a hell lot of money which you can earn very easily in Canada if you find suitable job in your specialized field. I would advice you to some R&D on it and find courses that will actually benefit you.
See whatever exp u have in India, may be Educational or Work Ex isnt gonna help you out there. So first make up your mind as what you want to do out there.
For eg. ( 1 yr Pg Diploma in Int. Business management + 1 yr Diploma in Marketing or accounts) is a far better deal. Both topics are inter linked. the employer may find you attractive. but my friend Half the world is going in colleges and universities in Ontario. you don't think its gonna be a bit tough to find a part time job, accommodation, plus job ater your education.

So i would advice you try and explore other provinces also in terms of employemnet prospects and how reputed the college is for the particular course.

and plz go for a 2 yrs course or consecutive 1 + 1 pg diploma, that you will give you a 3 yr work visa.

Dont think about what will the visa officer think if you are applying for a diploma after your ur graduation. People on this forum have got thier visa doing the same thing. Grad then diploma.

diploma course is better than a certificate course provided if you find some good college that's gives co-op options along with it.

yes u can work on campus for 90 days after that you get off campus work permit to do part time jobs,,,once you complete your 1 year course you will get PGWP for 1 year for full time job...

you can also apply for part time 1 year course when you get your PGWP...after completing you will have 2 years of study on which basis you will get 2 or 3 year PGWp..

thats what i came to know on this forum...

Hey bro,

U cant do 2 one year diplomas (1+1)to get 3 years pgwp.
You will be eligible for only 1 year pgwp based on your recent course duration.

However Combination of Diploma+masters or Masters+diploma will make you eligible for 3 years pgwp.

Yes bro that's also an option for you
but 1+1 diploma will also fetch you 3 yr work visa.

but 1 yr diploma + 1 yr masters is a bit costly. may be some 7-8 lakh rupees more.

2 consecutive diploma does give u a 3 yr work permit visa. 100%

You just need to study for 2 year with gap of not more than 3 months.

yes Bro....my frnds runs a overseas consultancy firm. He also confirmed it. You have to do a consecutive 1 + 1 diploma (back to back) to get a 3 year work visa. it is practically possible. You check out on the forum. many ppl are doing that bcoz of some colleges and its courses. Some have good 1 year program. and ppl link those program with a better program from another college. That makes them more competitive in market as compared to a 2 yr a diploma holder.

But the gap between the two diploma's should not be more than 3 months.

Check out with some local consultancies at your place. you can also drop down a mail to the respective colleges for the same.

I have sent a mail to NAIT and Vancouver Island University for the same.

Hello Guys,

I am planning to apply for Project Management at Conestoga college. Can anyone please provide a review of this course at Conestoga?

It is a 1 year PG diploma. My consultant told me that after completing this course I can transfer my credits to Construction Management and get another diploma and I will be eligible for 3 years work permit.I am a Civil Engineer and would like to do construction managment as well. Can anybody please explain to what extent it is possible?

its a good field to have eye on. do some research on the skilled immigrants requirements. you will get your answer.
As far as college is concerned, personally I feel Centennial is a better option than Conestoga college is terms of studies. Its a reputed college and there is Project management program over there.

I have an admit from Centennial as well. But when I contacted few students studying there, I didnt get good response for the college. I am trying for the dual diploma which will give me 3 years of WP. Plus Conestoga is cheaper than Centennial.
