Certificate and diploma both have their own importance. But PG diploma will not downgrade your education. Any PG level education after graduation will upgrade your education level.
hi can u plz tell me the difference between pg diploma and certificate??

According to me:
A certificate basically says you've taken a few courses on a subject. A certificate will qualify you for an entry level job.
A diploma suggests several courses in the same area have been taken, it is similar but better than a certificate.
Diploma is basically half way to degree.

still not sure about the difference btw the two...i mean there is no consensus of people on difference btw the two..this makes me think of changing the course from pg certificate to pg diploma as i have enough time to apply for my visa...now what should i do??

u shld go for pg diploma ..its better than pg certificate for sure!

Hey Bro..thank you for ur reply on my post...Really very grateful to you.

I may be new to this forum but I done my part of R&D and it comes to a conclusion that Mr. Harry is correct.

PG diploma is a higher degree than Graduation from any part of the world. I don't know how much importance it hold in Canada but I would advice you if your going for 3 yrs visa then check out for some universities in Canada that intake 15 yrs of education. coz it all depends on the stats of the last year.

Do some R&D on it and definitely you will find ur answers.

Thanks

William

i am going for "professional accounting practice" a pg certificate..upon completion of this one can get exemptions in CGA (certified general accountants of canada) for first 3 levels i.e Level I, Level II and Level III..for me its good to step in the professional accountancy body of canada...well i think i should go for this pg certificate..

rest should apply according to their career aspirations and what suits them the most....
Good luck every 1!!

But bro...Its just a pg certificate...and not a diploma...!!!
may be you are right..but ive seen tiger007 posting on this forum about colleges and how the courses affect your career.
Its just a piece of info from my end.

why dont you go for a PG diploma in provinces like alberta, saks, coz its easy to get PR and practically business and technical courses with co-op are strong are compared with pg certificates from colleges from SPP colleges in Ontario.

Just give it a thot bro....i will remind once again bro..its just an info and I too may be wrong.
Do some R&D and reply to my info...in turn it will help us both.

copy the below link in the address bar and try to search fro any info.

yeah you might be right...every one see his own convenience..many people say that if u already have a bachelors degree than you should go for a pg certificate not for pg diploma as this will down grade the level of ur studies..i am choosing this course as i will get exemptions for first three levels from CGA once i complete this pg certificate sucessfuly..after that there is another 1 year certificate, upon completion level four will be exempted..you can enter into a professional accountancy body...
