PCC DECEMBER 2012 APPLICATION?

HI GUYS,
I APPLIED ON 19TH DECEMBER, NO NEWS YET, BUT I WENT TO CGI ON THURSDAY AND NOBODY KNOWS WHAT THE HECK THEY ARE DOING, THEY HAVE ABSOLUTE NO IDEA. SO WHEN I SHOWED THEM MY itinerary, THEN HE BECAME LITTLE BIT RESPONSIBLE AND HE WENT INSIDE TO CHECK AND HE WAS TELLING ME THAT PLEASE CHECK NEXT WEEK, WE WILL DO SOMETHING? SO NO IDEA

Can I ask my parents to send me the PCC from India?? Coz i knw cgi ppl are lazy and wont give it that easily. I have been calling the helpline almost everyday but no one responds well..don't know what to do ???

Friends, if the PCC gets delayed after applying @ CGI (Not VFS), can I just say that I have to travel to India or should I provide any airticket/itinerary?

Hi Zara, you can definitely get it from India. make sure documents is in English. Here they take time forever

You are right, CGI people don't give PCC easily. Irresponsible peoples.

Hi Sunnybamboo, it is possible to get the PCC from India. My parents went and inquired in India and they said they can issue one but there is lot of documentation required. I made a mistake of applying here coz if I asked my parents to get one for me from India they would have got it for me by now and I would have already applied for immigration :'(. My mistake. :'(

Do you know is it from passport office or from police commissionarate ?

Do we have to provide them any letter from CGI Toronto by addressing Indian office to hand over PCC to parents ?

I meant, you need not to apply to cgi toronto for the PCC and directly get one from India. Ask your parents to apply on ur behalf as your background check will be done in India. I don't know the procedure but ask your parents to inquire.

I am going to CGI tomorrow to apply for PCC and DOB together. The following are the documents which I am talking along with me. Please confirm if anything is missing.

1. My most recent WP (my spouse does not have a visitor record since her details are mentioned on my WP)
2. Passport copies along with originals
3. PCC & DOB application forms
4. DD for $28 each
5. Marriage certificate
6. 1 photograph of 35X35
7. 2 return Xpress post envelopes.(does anyone know what size should I take?)

Where or how to track PCC and certificate of date of birth status of applications given at CGI Toronto ?

There is no tracking tool available to track submissions at CGI.
You can use the prepaid return envelope tracking reference number but that is only at a later stage (after issuance) to know if it is in transit.

In general during PCC process,

will the Indian Police Dept send physical/hard copy of PCC to CGI by post and the same will be given to applicants here by the CGI

OR

Indian Police Dept will send CGI a code/message electronically and the CGI will print PCC here itself based on that code to give it to applicants ?
