would you mind sharing the content of the email please?

I received the email from CIC but I still can't believe that I got approved for PR. The email is about passport requested.

Can you please send me a copy of email regarding to the passport request so that I can clarify if mine is true ( Because I hired a lawyer so the email was sent to my lawyer. And he is charging me another amount of money before he send me the email. He just took the pic and send to me now). I am still shaking because of the email. I am so happy but still doubt about it.

I wanna know if it the final step for PR.?

I would appreciate it if you can send me a copy of the email you got from cic

I am too planning to land at Niagara border this weekend. Do we need to carry extra photographs with us? If yes, how many?

Photos not required. If you are landing on weekend. Be prepared to spend good 2-3 hours depending on the time. Good luck.

If you need to verify your email then you should post and ask to confirm. Not the other way around. Or you should read the threads.
Anyway here you go.

Subject of the email is missing in this link which you might even ask hence the subject is "Ready for Visa / Prêt pour Visa".

Its time to send the passport. Let us start tracking the passport rather than verifying the email.

does anyone know where in Ontario are the port of entries? I'm having a hard time trying to find the list.

Hi there, the most common ones which I know of are the rainbow bridge at niagara fall and the bridge at fort erie that goes to Buffalo, also there is one called thousand island bridge near Kingston if you are around that area.
I'm sure you can get a whole list at CBSA's website.

Hello everybody,
Finally, I landed at Niagara rainbow bridge on June 5, 2016 at midnight. The whole process was smooth. I walked to the US side and the officer there handed me over a rejection letter. I came back to Canadian side. The officer asked a few questions and directed me to another building where other formalities were done. The whole process took exactly 30 mins, starting from walking to the US side to final landing. It was exactly midnight. So I became a permanent resident of Canada on June 5, 2016.
I would like extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the members of this forum for their help and support.
Thank you, all, for standing for each other through the thick and thin of times.
All the Best.

The detailed timeline:

09-May-2016: PPR
12-May-2016: Passport Sent
16-May-2016: Passport received at Ottawa
17-May-2016: VISA issued
02-Jun-2016: Passport returned with CoPR
05-Jun-2016: Landing

I got my PPR on 19th May and sent my passport on 26th May which was received by Ottawa office on 30th. So, anxiously waiting for my Passport with CoPR.

I have a question in mind and maybe some one can clarify.

- I gather that receiving PR card takes about 2 months after landing. What is my status during these 2 months (between landing and getting PR card)? Am I already a Permanent Resident with all rights (including subsidized education) ?

- Also, is the application for PR card done while landing or, do I need to apply for PR separately?

Once you are landed you become a PR, regardless of when you get your card. As a matter of fact, you can and probably should use your Copr and get a new SIN and health card.

Also regarding school, the institution may request to see the Copr, but yes even before you get the PR Card you should get the same rate as other PR's and citizens. Some school are extra nice and allow you to resister at the lower tuition with just the PPR email even before Copr. But only a few.

If this was helpful please feel free to rate +1 thanks.

The tracker from Canada post for tracking your passport on its way back to you.

Once activated i.e. you are able to track where your passport is, you know CIC mailed your passport back to you with the CoPR.

Landed on June 5th in Niagara Falls!

Best of luck to the rest of you guys
