He will need to stay within Canada, he cannot cross the US border. he will land in trouble if he does.

Okay.. is there any stop point like starbuck or Timmy or something nearby the Carway border so he can wait there until I am done with my landing? I neve never driven there before so not sure what it looks like. Thanks so much for the Info

I got my passport back today.

The visa stamp expiry date is 5 month form today. My passport is valid till 2019. What does that visa stamp imply?

You need to do a landing process before this Visa expires. You will become a permanent resident post landing.

Ohh..Thanks..so, they gonna put another stamp on the passport ?

No, they will put a date stamp and signature on your COPR and apply for your PR Card. The visa on your passport is only for a single entry, it will be of no use after landing.

The link is a little old, so you can do some more research on the forum to find latest stuff, but it will give you an idea.

Hi Guys. I have got my PR a couple of months ago and did my landing in may and then came back to my home country in a week. My PR card were mailed to the address provided (family member) and my family member brought it to my home country in-person (so nice of him to do that). Now I am confused if I can travel using the PR card or using COPR (I am in US so can travel by land as well)? If I travel using PR card and if the immigration officer cross verify the dates on my passport then wouldn't they question me on how I got my PR card while I was outside canada? Has anyone done something similar? Please advise.
