I know this will be the painful part where we have to wait for our passports.

Hopefully they will send our passports by end of next week.

Did anyone from this thread with a mailing address in Canada accidentally send the passport to the Laurier Ave address? I was so ecstatic with PPR that I made that mistake... Please share your experience if so.

Many thanks

What do you mean send it by mistake? Where should it be sent then? Is it not the right address?

On my "Ready for Visa" E-mail I got the info that those with a mailing address in Canada should send their passports to a PO Box in Ottawa. The Laurier Ave address was recommended for the ones with a mailing address in the US. But apparently, the main point is that the PO Box may only receive from Canada Post whereas the Laurier Ave receives from other couriers (eg FedEx, etc.). At least this is what I have been hearing here...

Fingers crossed to get my COPR soon... ::)

I haven't seen anyone in the forum. But lets hope the best as both the places would be sending passports out. I don't see much difference in sending your passport to PO address or the Laurier address.

Your best bet is to call CIC on Monday and explain them what happened. Mostly they will have an answer.

you should e-mail CPC Ottawa, and let them know about this

On my PPR letter, it stated that I send it to my nearest office but if I am in Canada, I should sent it to the Laurier Ave address, no option for the PO BOX. So I guess sending it to Laurier Ave address should not be a problem.

Thanks for your advice and for sharing your experience guys!! I have already sent an email to CPC Ottawa and will also call them on Monday to make sure my passport is received and my visa is processed. I'll send more news shortly.

Fingers still crossed here :)

In my opinion it is just the distribution of work they are trying to do. I was told to mail to docs to PO Box no. in Ottawa if mailing address in Canada. In both cases passport is going to CIC.

Hope to get COPR asap :)

I just checked MyCIC and in the home page I see Approved in the details. But when I open to check status it still shows Background check in progress and Final decision Not Started.

Hopefully I will be getting my passport by the end of this week. :)

AOR: Jan 15
PPR: Jun 8
PP sent: Jun 8
PP delivered: June 14
CoPR: Nothing Yet.

I'm a visa exempt applicant so just had to send scans and 2 pictures - I've noticed visa exempt folks seem to go quicker than others? May be just a coincidence though...

Ya people who are having visa exemption get CoPR faster as CIC dosen't need to stamp the passport.
