I know this will be the painful part where we have to wait for our passports.doravmon said:Hope we all get our passport back next week!
What do you mean send it by mistake? Where should it be sent then? Is it not the right address?kinutoronto said:Did anyone from this thread with a mailing address in Canada accidentally send the passport to the Laurier Ave address? I was so ecstatic with PPR that I made that mistake... Please share your experience if so.
Many thanks
PPR: June 10th
Passport sent: June 10th
(June 11th = in transit to Ottawa)
On my "Ready for Visa" E-mail I got the info that those with a mailing address in Canada should send their passports to a PO Box in Ottawa. The Laurier Ave address was recommended for the ones with a mailing address in the US. But apparently, the main point is that the PO Box may only receive from Canada Post whereas the Laurier Ave receives from other couriers (eg FedEx, etc.). At least this is what I have been hearing here...JWZR421 said:What do you mean send it by mistake? Where should it be sent then? Is it not the right address?
I haven't seen anyone in the forum. But lets hope the best as both the places would be sending passports out. I don't see much difference in sending your passport to PO address or the Laurier address.kinutoronto said:On my "Ready for Visa" E-mail I got the info that those with a mailing address in Canada should send their passports to a PO Box in Ottawa. On my PPR letter, it stated that I send it to my nearest office but if I am in Canada, I should sent it to the Laurier Ave address, no option for the PO BOX. So I guess sending it to Laurier Ave address should not be a problem.kinutoronto said:On my "Ready for Visa" E-mail I got the info that those with a mailing address in Canada should send their passports to a PO Box in Ottawa. I have already sent an email to CPC Ottawa and will also call them on Monday to make sure my passport is received and my visa is processed. I'll send more news shortly.JWZR421 said:On my PPR letter, it stated that I send it to my nearest office but if I am in Canada, I should sent it to the Laurier Ave address, no option for the PO BOX. Ya people who are having visa exemption get CoPR faster as CIC dosen't need to stamp the passport.Irish_in_Canada said:AOR: Jan 15

I'm a visa exempt applicant so just had to send scans and 2 pictures - I've noticed visa exempt folks seem to go quicker than others? May be just a coincidence though...
