Good morning everybody,

Any updates yesterday evening?

My PP reached Ottawa on 23 Aug. Application approved yesterday.

Application approved and closed today.

Any reasons we can think of, to explain why they delay in dispatching the approved passports back to us? Canada Post doesn't seem to be an issue anymore. Hmmm.

In my opinion, CIC did the great job. They have to double check carefully about the Canada post trike. It will be crazy if our passports are hold in some where of Canada post system for one month :-X

i have a question. is getting a status update on file saying approved, is it the same as approved and closed?
i have seen some ppl saying approved and closed. but mine just got approved. how do i know its closed too?

guys i just called cic asking about my passport, they said it is already been sent, tough my tracking number has not been activated. i think you guys should call too and find out. its the canada post. not the cic

But the strike situation has been put on hold. There is currently no strike with CP that I am aware of. I imagine CP is mandated to scan for receipt of packages even though they are not able to transport yet - the first status for "item accepted" should still be showing up in tracker.

No strike. Nothing like that. Everything is running smoothly and normally between CP and CPC-Ottawa.
