hi i landed yesterday at rainbow bridge.

process was smooth as due to weekday and chilly weather there was no wait times.

first i went to rainbow bridge and then follow the autos line (this bridge is just for non commercial use so only autos and nexus counter). Then at the toll gate i gave my passport to US officer he greeted me and i told him i am here for flag poile for my pr process. so he asked me some basic things like did you went to US before and do you have cash or any seeds blah... i said no and i said yes as i went to US before.

then he told me at the left there is one officer standing outside the office go there and park your car and wait.
so after that he gave me my passport with a yellow slip having reason as flag pole.

then when i went to that officer he told me to wait there he will be right back in some mins.

then he came back with a letter and told me to give this letter to candaian side and he cracked a joke. man are you not going to US to play powerball... are you kidding me.

i laughed and said yes its a big hit but i am in a hurry :p :p :p

then he showed me the way to take a U-turn and join the cars going towards canadian toll side. so i did that and then gave $4.5 toll. also i was not havinf exact change but they accept debit and credit card so i gave my card to pay.

after that i went ahead where an officer asked me so i said coming for landing sp he told me to go left side in that building and park your car.

so i did same and then when i entered there was no one. just few officers talking and chit chatting and watching TV in one room and few were doing their work. so one officer asked me are you here for landing i said yes.

he took my copr, passport and that letter and told me to wait and have a seat.

so i waited for 5 mins and then one lady officer called my name.

asked me few questions like are you convicted of any crime in canada? i said no.

then she asked me any dependents with you? i said no.

then she asked me for proof of funds. i gave bank statement.

then she told me to wait and have a seat.

she called me after 2 mins. and asked me to sign.

she greeted me as a pr in canada and told me to apply for new sin and health card. and told me you will get your pr card in 2 months.

done..... :D :D :D :D
Hi, ntwkengg

I am planning to land at Rainbow bridge as well. May I ask you a few questions?

1) Is there a specific address for the Rainbow bridge landing office? I am sucks at reading maps or directions so I will be using a GSP to direct me when I drive. :p
Once I reach Rainbow bridge, am i supposed to go to the USA office first myself? Do they have clear signs? I am from a visa required country and don't have a US visa so I don't want to get to the wrong entrance and get kicked out lol

2) For POF, do I need to get an official bank letter and show detailed transaction history for past 6 months just like when we applied the PR or can I just print out bank statements from my online banking account at home and show them?

3) Did you go there in the morning or in the evening?

Thank you so much in advance!!

hi

this is the address

rainbow bridge, niagara falls NY
14303 US........

i went at 6.45 pm yesterday off hours are clear and less cars.

just ask for a 1 page statement showing all accounts and total amount. not transactions for 6 months.

also it is very clear location i was also scared till yesterday.

when you go to niagara just follow signs for bridge to USA.....

once you enter that bridge after 500 meters you will find heading as autos. go in that lane and there will be toll booth with stop signs wait for your turn and then follow my previous post and answer accordingly.

this bridge is near to casino niagara and crown plaza niagara hotel..... you can see that when you enter..... it is a green color bridge..... just google it.

let me know if any other que.

I got my COPR and passport returned today. I have a couple of questions:

1) Can I do the landing process and come back to USA without having USA visa? I am on H1B here and totally legal and my H1B is valid till July 2016 but dont have visa stamped. I heard something called Automatic Visa Re-validation but not sure what it is exactly.

2) If i can come back to USA and then go back to Canada after a few months then can i still take all my goods with me? or will it be a different procedure?

Please advise.

My passports are on the way and planning to do landing this weekend. Has anyone did flag polling in Surrey/Vancouver recently? I would like to know the process and experience.

Is there an amount you need to have for proof of funds?

My account is poorer than when I started my PR process. Lol

look if you want to cross a border you require a visa to reenter your country. so first you need to go for h1b stampoing.

so do one thing book your appointment for h1b stamping in canada us consulate by completing ds 160 form and all other docs.

then first when you enter canada you can sign copr and then stay in canada till you complete h1b stamping and then go back to usa.

then comeback to canada whenever you want.

if you have valid visa for usa till july 2016 then no need to bring your stuff. its upto you.

follow this way and 2 things will be done in one shot. ;D ;D ;D

1. Yes, you can do it. DO NOT surrender your I-94 and carry I-797 approval notice. Also, carry a printout of a CBP document about AVR. Google it. To be double sure, email CBP and get the printout of the reply.

2. Not sure.

For getting 50mm by 70mm pic, contact a professional photographer in your city which deals with taking pics for Immigration services. He/She would be able to help. Take the sheet and a scale to confirm the size before you leave.

Also, this pic would be different and would have a big part of your chest. It looks different from the one on the spec sheet which CIC gives. No need to panic.

Got my COPR and visa. Thanks for all the help.

I did my landing earlier today at Rainbow bridge, it went pretty smoothly and lasted about 25mins in total. The only thing I was asked for was proof of address, luckily I had it on me, I specified what city I was planning to settle in in my application so that may have been the reason. All the best to you and yours!

Guys, one question. In my COPR, it is mentioned that my city of destination is Brampton, Ontario. I plan to fly in next month.

1. Can I do landing formalities in any other province or do I need to do landing in Ontario ?

2. Do they ask for proof of address , as to where you will stay in Canada ? I plan to live at my aunt's place in Ontario.

3. What all other docs do they check ? ( Funds, Experience letter etc.)

I got my CoPR today. Thank You each and every one of you for your support and guidance.

My daughter is not listed as a dependent in it. She is a Canadian citizen. Is she required to be listed as dependent? Since in the CoPR instructions page it is mentioned that all your dependent / family member should be listed in your CoPR.
