Hi All,

I have a question. If i cannot keep my Passport for more than 10 days at the Abu Dhabi vo how should i communicate that to the embassy if I am submitting through VFS. I would need my passport back within 10-15 days as I have to make business trips for my company.....How should we explain the urgency to the Canadian embassy for the requirement of timely return of our visa stamped pasports..... Any inputs will be appreciated.

Regards

I suppose the easier way would be to wait till you get back, and submit the passports then. You can cite the fact that you are travelling (pre-planned), and request an extension to your deadline. Provide proof that you are travelling - valid ticket etc.

I think you cannot send across the country, I know someone recently just taken visit visa to come and submit the passport personally. he requested at the counter saying I have just traveled for stamping and received the passport the next day.

Hi nivin! How didi you send your passport from india to abu dhabi? Did you provide paid return envelope? If not, how did you receive your passport with visa from abu dhabi to india? Because in my case, from philippines to abu dhabi and I do not know, how they will send back our passports. Thank you.

Sent on 20 March
Received on 9 April

Congrats Mody Sudan.

When are you leaving for Canada and where are you headed towards?

Hi Aborgy,

They no more have walk in submission option at the Abu Dhabi vo.

I recommend vfs global. They are safe and convenient if u don't mind spending 150 dirhams per person.

Hi,

I am a Bangladeshi and currently residing in Qatar. My wife will be visiting me here in Qatar on a family visit visa for 3 months within couple of days. I have already received PPR. In that case, can I submit my spouse's passport to ADVO for stamping from here while she is on a visit visa in Qatar? If yes, then how should I send the passport?

Please share your thoughts or anyone else who has an idea about it.

Thanks

send the passport via speed post....dhl or aramex or any other....and also pay for return trip of ur passport

Thank you very much! I guess then it is possible to send passport to ADVO while she is on a visit visa. I will do that ASAP via Aramex as others have recommended that!

I think there is no difference in number of days between Aramex and VFS

but the difference is in price

VFS (Recommended by Embassy) costs 100 US $ per passport so 4 passports you have to pay 400 US $

Aramex costs 50 US$ for sending all passports below 0.5 KG and about 17 US $ for returning them
Note in Aramex you must inform them that this is a passport to make it "Priority Document"
and inform them that you want them to return the passports so they put "Return" sticker on the shipment and insert an additional airwaybill paper with your address written on it then your take the airwaybill number to track the return of your passport

Hi Moddie! Thanks for this info! +1 for you! ;D
