Dear All,

I received Visa & COPR from Abudhabi VO today.
Thank you so much to all for providing support when needed.
I had a smooth journey until PPR & I didn't have to do much research as I had hired a consultant.
But through this forum only did I know that I could submit passport in Abudhabi VO, without any additional confirmation from NDVO.
My application was processed in Warsaw & PPR was issued to submit it in NDVO.
It took 37 days to finish stamping, but I could see that it was normal in ADVO at this point of time.
Other members posts really helped me to be patient as much as possible during the stamping process :)

All the best to everyone who are waiting & to those who have received their visa.

May your life flourish in Canada !

Hi all,
we submitted my parents passports on July 15 and until now no news or update from the embassy! It is a family class sponsorship application and the letter that we received from the embassy mentioned that the visa is valid until Sep 3. we are getting worried as the date is fast approaching.
Any advise on how to contact the embassy for an update?
Thanks and good luck for all.

Anyone still waiting for passport from July 15? !!

Hello everyone.... I am in big dilemma. We received passport request 2 days back from CIC. However, I am currently in singapore and family is back in Abu Dhabi. I need to be here for the next 2 months at least. Also as my wife was pregnant we got her medicals done in mid-august but my medicals were done last year in dec when we got the first medical request.

I don't know what to do....as I can't send my passport from singapore for stamping and be her without a passport and I don't want to delay the process as the medical expiry is worrying me.

Is it possible that CIC will ask for another medical at the time of stamping. Also can I get my passport stamped in Singapore while my family does it in Abu Dhabi. Pls advice.

Just contact the nearest vfs canada and submit your passport for stamping in nearest canadian embassy and also raise cse to get the clear instructions from visa office.

Lexis !

You don't really need to worry, even if your visa expires, make sure apply for cancellation before the expiry date and once its cancelled, you would have 30 days grace period to be in UAE. So until that am sure you will get back your passport and will be all good to fly without paying any penalties!

You should be getting your passport in this week for sure! Just hold on!

Hope this helps.

LEXIS.... ;D

Fine for Residence Visa, Employment Visa overstay: Dh25 per day for first Six months. Dh50 per day fine for second Six months. Dh100 per day fine after one year. Fine will be calculated after 30 days of grace period. This fine to be paid at Immigration at the time of renewal or cancellation. If your overstay period is more, you should approach Aweer Immigration office to complete the procedures. :-\

Could someone advise on how many days you get to submit your passport after PPR.

It varies according to the VO which issues PPR.
For example, Warsaw VO gave me only 30 days. But in case of Columbo,it was 45 days (for person who I know).

Hi Guys,

I have the same case, I submitted my passport to the Abu dhabi embassy and it was delivered via Aramex on August 4th, till now no sign after 4 weeks... I hope you all received your passports already... I already raised an inquiry through CIC 2 days back but no reply yet...

Has anyone tried to contact the embassy in person to inquire about the status? I am bound to travel end of next week so I'm all out of ideas...
If anyone got their passports recently please share the exact time it took from submission to delivery?

Thanks

Hi,

Today we recieved the letter to submit passports to Canadian Embassy in Abu Dhabi.

The letter mentiones 10 days as processing time and 1-3 days courier time, for the return of the passports. I have seen in this thread that its taking 30-40 days on average for return of passports.

For those who have reveive the letter, does the letter mention 10 days as well for processing ?

TIA
