The Letter mentions 3 submission options:

Option 1: Via Local VFS Global (mentioned as "Preferred"). I have to submit to VFS Global in Muscat, Oman
Option 2: Courier to Canadian Embassy in Abu Dhabi
Option 3: In person at the Canadian Embassy in Abu Dhabi

After reviewing the VFS Global Site for Oman, it says that there is a service charge of OMR 53.00/applicant.

Has anyone used VFS Global in Oman for passport submission ? I am wondering if its worth paying (Omr 53.00 X 3) ?.

TIA

Given the choice, I would go for VFS global as it would be safer and we can track our passports.
BTW, we would have to pay 53 * 4 = 212 OMR just for the visa stamping when our PPRs come!!

Gentlemen,

If you need my advice, don't annoy the Canadian embassy by sending reminders or emails, you have to be patient as much as possible.

I have sent my pp thru VFS Global in Muscat, Oman.
They charged me 42.6 OMR (Passport transmission service) - 1 person only.
I am still waiting to collect it. (submitted on 3rd Aug)

Yes, they have a tracking number where you can track your application on the website.
They are handling pp services etc, so I believe this is the safest option.
Rest the choice is yours.

I have been asked to submit my passport to abu dhabi embassy and in the pdf file it says that it can take up to 4 weeks . I live in a gulf country where the company keeps my passport and I cant tell them that i applied for immigration and i need to send my passport to embassy . I plan to tell them that i need my passport because I am going to my home country for weekend, once they give me passport i will send them to abu dhabi .

The problem is that once the weekend is over they would keep sending me emails to return the passport and the time . Apart from that I have a letter from a US company inviting me to attend an event in california on 18th oct for which I have still not applied .. the letter is dated 6th august btw.

If i send my passport to abu dhabi embasy and mention that my passport is kept by company ( there is a sticker of company on passport ) and also tell them that i need to apply for USA visa also would they send my passport back fast ??
what is your priority?
take your passport from your company and send to canada embassy.if the company asks, tell dem you applied for canda visa and yet to get it back....simple. they wont eat you but rather respect you more....

Visit in person on either Monday or Wednesday during 9-11:30AM with ur booked tickets and request them to give ur processed passport by hand by explaining ur situation. They will entertain u

I tried this, but they simply said we will send you email, after making me wait from 9am till 12:30pm. without even allowing me inside, so i was waiting in the corridor with many (30/40)students who were waiting to know their student visa application status. They are heavily overloaded with student visa applications.

Hi,

Do you have your picture in the visa stamped in your passport or I am the only one having no photo:)???

Dear All,

I received Visa & COPR from Abudhabi VO today.
Thank you so much to all for providing support when needed.
I had a smooth journey until PPR & I didn't have to do much research as I had hired a consultant.
But through this forum only did I know that I could submit passport in Abudhabi VO, without any additional confirmation from NDVO.
My application was processed in Warsaw & PPR was issued to submit it in NDVO.
It took 37 days to finish stamping, but I could see that it was normal in ADVO at this point of time.
Other members posts really helped me to be patient as much as possible during the stamping process :)

All the best to everyone who are waiting & to those who have received their visa.

May your life flourish in Canada !

Josal83 you will receive in the letter 3 suggested ways of pp submission, only Aramex is being used as a courier, I was also using DHL all the time but I switched to Aramex for this only
