Unfortunately it will need ot be done again. It was the same fo rmy husband. he did them in 2016 but we did them again Oct 16th. ANd hmmm yours is at Mississauga? They are usually quite fast. You should be hearing something for biometrics soon and perhaps get pre-arrival like we did all on the same day hours apart. But also, I heard Quebec applicants have been a bit delayed so it could be that too. Hang in there, you'll hear soon! xHi! Congrats btw!
My Husband had biometrics done back in 2016 for a visitors visa. And when we checked online it said they are vaild until 2026. I am not sure if he has to do them again or not! Nothing was requested

Welcome! Don't worry. We had almost 8 months of silence and when they got back to us, we got pre-arrival and biometrics the same day followed by decision made and passport request! (My timeline is in my signature). Hang in there. It is a long wait but the silence is normal which sucks but I hope is comforting haha. xHey guys! This is my first time posting on this group. My application to sponsor my wife was forwarded to Paris august 28, but we haven't heard back from them. I got worried that the application might have got lost or something, so I emailed the Paris office to ask them if my application reached them but they just told me that the application was within processing limits... Most people from what it seems most people get their AOR2 fairly quickly. Any suggestions?

What bothers me isn't the silence per se, its the fact that we haven't received an AOR2 and its been almost 3 months.Welcome! Don't worry. The email that it is sent to Paris is okay. We didn't technically get an AOR2 either. I just saw in ECAS after they sent it to Paris that it started processing and I used that as our AOR2 date. What bothers me isn't the silence per se, its the fact that we haven't received an AOR2 and its been almost 3 months.
I have yet to receive anything to do with Paris on ECAS.The email that it is sent to Paris is okay. We didn't technically get an AOR2 either. I just saw in ECAS after they sent it to Paris that it started processing and I used that as our AOR2 date.
Not every VO sends AOR2 and I don't think Paris sends AOR2's because I haven't seen anyone say that they have. We just received an email March 8th saying that it will be sent to the Paris VO and then I noticed a week later it was in process on ECAS which looks like it was in process for you (Aug 20th) before you received the email. Don't worry. I'm sure they have it.I have yet to receive anything to do with Paris on ECAS.
This is basically what my ECAS looks like
