What's the difference between being processed in Paris and/or Mississauga? Wouldn't it be faster through Mississauga?

Mississauga is said to complete the uncomplicated extremely straight forward applications and therefore process them very fast compared to whatever visa office abroad it was supposed to go to.

Depending what your visa office abroad is Ottawa may be faster or the same amount of time as what your visa office abroad is.

Even if your application does get sent to Paris it is known for being one of the fastest visa offices abroad to process applications taking into consideration that your situation is not extremely complicated causing extra review.

Sooo... based on what you just said, I'm not sure I understand why Paris is faster. Does it matter then?

Paris is know for the fastest processing ABROAD (outside of Canada).

Mississauga is not an abroad office, therefore what I was trying to say is that the processing at Mississauga is even faster then Paris.

hi im sponsoring my husband from algeria , he did his interview on the 23rd and they told him he'll get a letter in a few weeks. we have a 6 week old and we are really hoping that theyll accept soon since he never met our daughter and our lawyer keeps telling us they should accept since we have a baby together, weve sent proof like texts messages photos , facebook messages etc. my question is will they still deny our application even though we have a baby together. another question is how long does it normally take to get a CSQ. we sent ours 3 weeks ago and our lawyer said it takes 15 days just feel like hes telling us what we want to hear since im always at his throat about our application.

You already asked this question on the main forum and got several very good answers. (http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/can-application-be-denied-even-if-my-husband-and-i-have-a-baby-together-t274706.0.html;msg4129470#msg4129470)

As you were previously told just because you have a baby together does not mean that you are guaranteed approval of PR.

Best of luck to you.

Ah. So, your original message saying to ensure it was getting processed in Paris... did you just mean to keep an eye out for where it was being transferred?

Yes you are correct, I apologize if I wasn't clear in my initial post.

I received an e-mail from Paris today requesting that we re-do the medical because it is expired and to send a photocopy of a renewed passport. They stated in the letter "We note that your passport will expire soon. This may affect the validity of your permanent resident visa. We strongly recommend that you have the passport renewed or the validity extended as soon as possible"

We have already renewed the passport and should be able to pick it up from the consulate this week and are going to get the medicals done ASAP. They stated that we only have 30 days to submit what they requested (which isn't a problem)

I hope it doesn't take them to long to review the file again after the above is submitted.

SPAIN have you heard anything back since you submitted what they requested?

Hi there,

I just checked my ECAS and saw that it changed the state. It exactly says:

March 25 th: IN PROCESS and medical received

So, it is moving!!! Hope everything goes faster now.

My Ecas doesn't change. It's always: application received on Desember. That's all.

I had my SA on March the 10th...

Paris your application is being processed in Ottawa as per your SA, not in Paris. So you will have a better idea of what to expect and when your ECAS will be updated if you follow the Ottawa thread.

Feel free to still come here and chat with us though!

Yes, Ryit, I follow both of them: Paris and Ottawa. Just to compare the processing times and have as much information as I can. So, I would continue chating with Paris applicants.

Aren't the medicals good for 12 months? Yours were done in August no? How come they ask you to redo them?

You are correct, the medicals are good for 12 months. I had originally applied inland and had my medicals done in August 2013, but I withdrew my inland application and applied outland. So in that time they had expired August 2014, they could have extended them by one year but that wouldn't have given me a lot of time to land, so it is better this way.

Oh allright then!

So roughly a month from SA to Passport Request? Thats quick!!! :o

Congrats RYIT! ;D

Is your ECAS updated regularly by Paris?
