Hi everyone,

Here is my timeline:

-Med done - Dec 30, 2014
- App sent - Jan 16, 2015
- App received - Jan 19, 2015
- CIC started processing your application on March 20, 2015
- SA - March 24, 2015

The letter says it was sent to Paris. I just have a question regarding my application. There is a form IMM5562 that I have not filled an attached to my application. Should I just forward this to Paris ASAP or should I wait them to request this document?

I think this form is not mandatory for all. It depends on your sponsored country of residence if I'm not mistaken. I believe I did not send it either.

So roughly a month from SA to Passport Request? Thats quick!!! :o

Congrats RYIT! ;D

Is your ECAS updated regularly by Paris?

My ECAS has not been updated. Under permanent residence application it still says "application received" when it is very obvious that they processing my application.

Noiro_dz is correct. Whether you have to submit that form or not depends on the country where you live. I did have to submit this form because my country is Portugal.

Source_code, where do you currently live?

Same that you!! Portugal!! ;D

I didnt submit because I have been living in Canada for the last 4 years. I did apply outside bc it is faster!!! I wasnt sure they would send it to Paris or Ottawa. However, Paris is the one that requests a IMM 5562.

Should I send the form to them or should I wait them to request it?

If I were you I would submit it now so additional time is not wasted by them having to ask you. Fill it out and e-mail it to them.

Here I have seen some very good movement for Paris guys!
But I am not so lucky as mine application has entered into 8th month since 13 of March but still waiting
Paris office requested me my residence permit card 4 months ago and then 2 months ago asked me to give evidence of cohabtation and communication so I did provide them
But after that no updates I don't know why my application is taking so longggg

Have you ordered your notes to try and find out what is taking so long?

What have been the average processing times for the Paris office from the time of submitting application to landing?

I am just doing it right now!! Should I use the Case Specific Enquiry or is it better to send by email?

If your application takes more than 8 months to be processed, you should contact them asap. That is what they state on CIC. Processing times in Paris VO: 8 months. If it takes more than that, you MUST contact them and provide your UCI or APP Number. By the way, what is your status in ECAS??? In PROCESS??? GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE.

I sent the form IMM 5562 missing in my application. They replied:

Dear Applicant,

According to the information in the immigration database, this application is being processed by the Visas Office in Mississauga.

To communicate with The Mississauga Office Bureau please use the following address : cpcm-fcpapr@cic.gc.ca

Please include the reference number above in all communication concerning this application.

Yours truly,

Immigration Section/ve
Embassy of Canada
Paris

This probably means they have not received the application from Mississauga. It has been a week or 7 days since the SA was approved.
