My Parents got visitor visa for six months.
(6 months visa = December 16, 2015 - June 16, 2016)

Visitor Visa expires on June 16, 2016.
They arrived in Canada on March 3, 2016 and their return flight is on June 9, 2016 (one week before their visitor visa expires).

They want to stay here in Canada until end of the August 2016.
(Less than 6 months but almost 6 months)

Can they stay here in Canada until September 3, 2016?
(Ex. Total of six months stay = From March 3, 2016 to September 3, 2016)

Do they have 6 months starting from their arrival date "March 3, 2016" to stay in Canada legally?
(Total of 6 months although visitor visa will be expired by the time)

Do they have to leave Canada by June 16, 2016?
(the date when their visitor visa expires)

Do they have to get a visitor visa extension?

When they arrived in Canada, Canada Border Service stamped their passport with the arrival date "March 3, 2016".
(There are no any other stamps from Canada Border Service suggesting that they will have to leave by any specific date.)

I need you clarify terms. There is no such thing as "visitor visa", it is either a visitor status (your status once you enter Canada as a visitor) or a TRV (the sticker in your passport). Please correct the terms accordingly so we can give you proper advise.

Hi Jalex23, thank you for taking your time to reply. :)

Visitor Visa as in Temporary Resident Visa - TRV.

I sponsored them to visit Canada. They do not hold and never have been held any permits here in Canada to study or work.

You still haven't clarified, so I will assume:

- TRV valid until June 16, 2016.
- Arrival date March 3, 2016
- Granted visitor status until Sept 3, 2016

If that is correct they can stay up to Sept 3rd without any extra action required.

Advise: I would leave August 31st, just not to push to the limit of the visitor status.

You should check stamp on the passport
There will be date if there is no date they they can live in 6 months from that date when they arrive in Canada
Thanks

is this six month from the last entry to Canada or first entry to Canada? My mother came to Canada in last December and then we went to US for 2 days and entered back in Canada last month. In both cases when she entered Canada there was no stamping on her passport.
