Parent's visitor visa application

Hi all,

I am applying for my parents Visitor visa, I am currently here on a work permit which is about to expire in Feb 2021. My Work permit extension is already applied for and is currently under process.

Could this have an impact on my parents' visitor visa application? Can I still go ahead and apply their Visitor visa?

They apply on their own merit and processing times are long. Depends on where they are from. So they may be approved.

Right now with an approved work permit, they need written authorization to travel. This is a form you fill out to show you are here as a temporary worker so yes, they can be denied based on the expiry of your permit.
