Parents Sponsorship In Quebec

Good day everyone! I am new here but do need the help from your kindness reply. My family is in Montreal of 4 members and we want to sponsor my parents. Our family income from work in 2019 is 67k. We almost pay off our house and are planning to buy a 4 plex to rent in 2020. We get around 800$/month from child benefit and around 300$/month for the refund of daycare (we pay 40$/day). Could you please advise if we can sponsor my parents? Thanks

The program requirements for the pgp2020 has not been released so nobody will know if you qualify. You can’t include child benefit or daycare credits. 6 people, including 4 adults, living on that income will be incredibly difficult. Not sure whether you will pass LICO since the amount hadn’t been released yet. Many healthcare items or services are not covered and your parents will not receive any money from the government for 10+ years.

Thank a lot for your reply canuck78. We will get more income during 2020 from the rent ( we will sign at notary on Feb 2020), will it help us if we will get paid around 3000$/month from the rent to sponsor my parents in 2020? Thanks

We have no idea what the requirements for PGP2020 will be. Although you have income you also will have increased expenses if you have a mortgage and other rental expenses. Quebec looks at the whole picture.
