Parents Sponsorship files in Pending/Secondary review

Hello Everyone ,

I am starting this thread , to see if we can track progress for PGP files in pending/secondary review. If any one has the same experience, please share time line.

I have applied in June 2010 and waiting for first step, sponsorship approval

Mine time line is under my user ID and signature

Any suggestions also welcome

I'm from the Jan 2014 batch whose application has made no progress.

Applied Jan 2014, Credit card charged and AOR in June 2014.
After that, dead silence...

You must have got a communication from CIC. If yes, what was that? Did you tried to order GCMS notes? GCMS notes are the way to know some information

The only communication I got was in June 2014 saying that my application is one of the 5000 accepted and that they will advise when the application is fully entered into the system.

Still waiting since June 2014 for any sort of communication.

My ecas shows that the application was received in Jan 2014.
and that they started processing my application in March 2016...

Most of the other applicants from my group are in their final stage or have landed already...but I still dont know if i have been approved as a sponsor or not... :'(

From GCMS notes you can find. Make sure you check your email (I assume you have correct email with CIC) . Also check spam/junk folder . Order GCMS notes. It is free

If anyone please know about PGP file in Pending or Secondary review please help. E.g. why file is secondary review? How much time it take?. What are the options to know about the progress and time it will take?

GCMS notes normally take 30 Days, I got all the time on 30th day ... Everything is slow

Does country of origin matter? if yes, what aspect of application it affect e.g Sponsorship approval is quick? Medical is quick or slow? or what other effect?

Country of Origin is Mauritius; no idea how that would even affect the 1st stage of sponsorship approval which takes place in Mississauga, Canada!
the end of this week will hit the 30th day, so i'm waiting in anticipation..

did your GCMS notes provide any useful information in your case??

GCMS notes are helpful , But not up to the point what i need.

E.g From GCMS notes i can find , My file is in Pending review. but no reason mentioned why it is in pending review. Top of that GCMS notes does no helpful to know that how long more it would take to complete this phase

But at least GCMS notes tell what is the current status of your file
