Parents Sponsorship files in Pending/Secondary review

Here is the last note tha was added to my file:

Sponsor Eligibility: Pre-Assessment in Progress FC4 Sponsorship category: Parent Partner check initiated for:SPR -Social assistance check. Previous undertaking(s); Results pending. GCMS check: No relevant materail information found. Correct fees received and allocated. R10 requirements have been met. Passport copy included for PA: Yes Co-Signer on file. Co-signer is residing in Canada. SPR is currently married. SPR is Canadian Citizen residing in Canada. SPR landed on yyyy/mm/dd as a FC1 PA is divorced. -sufficient evidence provided to support PA is divorced. Supporting documents: -Divorce certificate on file. SPR has submitted the following documents as proof of relationship: -Birth certificate Documents on file satisfy relationship between SPR and PA. V/O to request additional documents if necessary. Question #5 on SPR Eligility Assessment answered Yes, PO to Review Application locked in on 2014/01/dd. Case pending officer review

I am not 100% sure, but from the notes it seems CIC is checking previous undertaking, e.g. did you sponsor someone else (yours or your spouse's parents)?

It says "Previous undertaking(s); Results pending" . Did see anything in GCMS notes under INCOMING or OUTGOING section?. That means CIC sent out a correspondence to check with another department etc..

I am not 100% sure, but from the notes it seems CIC is checking previous undertaking, e.g. did you sponsor someone else (yours or your spouse's parents)?

I have not sponsored anybody before. My husband has only sponsored me under the family class spouse about 5 years ago.

Under Ougoing, there is an AOR that was cancelled on 2016/10/18.
Under Incoming, there are the Financial Eval. Form IMM1283 and IMM1344A(SA and Undertaking), both with a status: Received.

Where is your file stuck btw? Have you been approved as sponsor yet? I know you sent your app in 2010; and the notes when you check the processing times now say that they are working on Jan 2014 apps and to make sure that you have replied to all correspondences from CIC if you've applied before that.

neither my husband nor I was on social assistance.

I was on Mat leave in 2015 and received EI, but I dont think this should have any effect on the sponsorship eligibility.

I am not sure if Mat leave effects eligibility or not. May be CIC is checking that for what reason you got EI?.. From GCMS notes it seems they are checking previous undertaking.

What about ordering GCMS again may be more information?

I can understand it is very very painful to go through it. CIC don't answer and no time limit for applications. MP can not help. Minister of Immigration don't want to listen and help.

Just to wait there ,, My wait is now in 7th year, just for Sponsorship approval..

I some time can not believe this...

This would only be an issue if your joint income dropped below LICO that year. Otherwise it won't be a problem at all.

Our incomes still meet LICO + 30% for 4+ persons for the year of 2015 when i was on Mat leave...

I am approved as sponsor after 6 and 1/2 Year.

No help from MP, Minister of Immigration, CIC call center..

It is very painful.. I wish we could do something ..
