Hi members,
It has been over 6 months since my parents completed their medicals. Hearing nothing from cic and also ecas is still showing in process, any suggestions what I should do. Is there any phone number to call cic to ask the status. I sent a gcms request a week ago. Anything else I can do to get some information on the application. Thanks

No, it only shows "in process" and when I click on it the detail only says " we started processing your application since April 2015"

-Send a fax or letter inquiry to the visa office, indicate date of meds exam and request for PR visa issuance.
-Inquire through (your) MP right away and ask them to inquire about tentative date for finalization and what's pending.

It's good that you've sent a GCMS request already. The notes should give you an idea about what's happened so far.
Too bad it takes a month to get the month-old notes.

thanks canvis for the great advise. I will try to send fax or letter, if they have fax # on visa office website. I hope they will followup. But I don't know how I can enquire through MP. Can I enquire through the MP elected in my riding?

passport received back from vac Lahore on 11/12/2015 took almost 2 weeks after passport request.
2 dependents and both parents.

almost took 6 and half year for our case so don't lose hope ur turn will come soon.


best of luck for everyone my prayers are for all ppl who r currently waiting for their cases approval.

My family have finished DNA testing on 16th/Dec/2015 and still waiting for the result. In GCMS note, I have ordered recently showed that my right of permanent resident fee is outstanding. Can I pay it now without receiving requested letter ? Just think that will help speed up the process since medical and criminality status are passed. Any advices ? Thanks

I have a question my parents just received
Their passports back they have been given
VISA till sept 2016
I have heard that the medical and police
Certicates are only valid for 6 months
And they expire after that if my parents
Do not do the landing in this period before
Medical expires will they have to do the
Medical again although they have already been
Issued a visa?

Please plan to land before expiry period of medical......I don't believe police certificate validity is an issue now.....my advise is to move there ASAP
