As long as you remain a Full Time Student, Dependent on Parents, and not Married. It will be okay. You can do two graduations if that is what you are asking.

There is no fixed time period within which a sponsorship application is approved. After approval CPC Mississauga will determine to which office file is transferred. It can be CPP-O (Ottawa) or Local Visa Office (LVO).

Files which are transferred to CPP-O (Ottawa), may be transferred to LVO, if after a review by an IO it is determined that application/documents need to be verified by an IO/VO with local knowledge.

After a file is transferred to CPP-O or LVO and is received by the processing office, generally an AOR is sent to the applicant. At a later stage application is reviewed and in some straight forward cases processing starts quickly while others wait in the queue. If it is determined that additional information is required processing office will contact the applicant via E-mail (if provided) or via Mail.

When processing office has made the determination that applicant is Eligibile, applicant is asked for Medical Examination (if not done already or have expired). In some cases IO may also get extension of Medicals.

Keep in mind, though, request for Medical Examination does not mean that your application will be approved.

Does anybody who applied after April 30, 2011 get the 90 days document request letter for step 1?

I called CIC today and asked when should I expect this letter. I applied in June 2011. It's 44 months for my application now (web site shows 45 months it takes to process an application after they received a COMPLETE package). They told me (if I want to follow up) to call back in 3 months because they are working on applications received before April 30. At that time CIC will have a better idea when they start sending the request letter for applications received after April 30,2011. In 3 months it will be 47 months for me.

my timelines:
Applied - June 9, 2011
CIC received - June 10, 2011
Acknowledgement letter - Jan 17, 2013
since then nothing... :'(

U have to wait little bcoz from past few years they rquest documebts in july or august .....!
It does not matter website time 44or47 ..!! Some peoples take more time then website!
Bcoz now only few months left to complete the all backlog April 30-2011 to nov 2011 only 6 months file left so dont woory it will come till august

Can i ask a question here for the Generic Application Form for Canada [IMM 0008]:

I am confused about the dependent part. Should i include my boy who was born in Canada in the form as the dependent part? My whole family plus i sponsor my mom which will be 4 totally. IF i write 4 in the NO3. Then nothing at dependent part, it will not validate my form. I tried to follow the instruction which saying not included the members are Canadian citizenship already. Then what is the number is should put for No 3? I am so confused..... :Thank you........

Usually applications with dependent transfer to the home office not Ottowa. if you are living in India your home office is New Delhi.

In my case 10 months after my file transferred to my home office I got medical request.

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate it. I just can't wait! My parents age is 74 & 77. Add 6 month to get the letter, plus another 6 months at least to get approval for sponsorship.... It will be 58 months for me, almost 5 years for step 1. Then step 2. At least another year... ??? Oh, well. Nothing I can do to speed up the process. Took a deep breaths to calm down.
Actually, the main reason I was looking for people who applied after April 30, 2011 to check if Cic is delaying my application specifically because my parents are from Russia. There are many different sanctions against Russia lately.
May be I should start a separate topic :

I am new to this topic and will need the help of those who had processed a SUPER VISA for their parents/grandparents already.

I am trying to process a super visa application for my mother ONLINE. My sister is a Canadian citizen who will be sponsoring her. My mom has been living with me here in Dubai for the past 7 years now.

1. I am filling up the form called 'Application for Visitor Visa' IMM 5257 and I just have a question. It is asking for FUNDS available for her stay in CAD. She doesn't have a bank account so she can't show any proof of funds. it will be my sister who will provide her for all her expenses when she is already in Canada. I'm wondering what I should put here? Should I put CAD 0.00? (Please note that N/A is not applicable as this field will only accept currency)
2. I can only get a 6-months return flight ticket for her. Is that alright?
3. I have a Permanent Resident visa status wherein my family, with my mother are planning to fly to Canada all together. I want to know if I should declare in my mother's application (FAMILY INFORMATION FORM) that I will accompany her in Canada? The "accompany" term - does this mean accompanying in the flight or accompanying in the Application?

I would really appreciate anybody who can shed some light to these questions.

You can show any proof of funds (Traveller Checks etc.). Include a letter from your sister as well mentioning that your sister will provide for stay and expenses during the stay.

It is not necessary to buy a return ticket.

Write the personal details about your children. It is very important that you list all of your children even if they are already permanent residents or citizens of Canada

here is the timeline:
applied Sept 29, 2009
Approved and transfer to Singapore 30 July 2013.
No medical request yet, but she has undergone Immigration medical last year for extending her visitor status in Canada.

Can we apply sponsor for our parents when they are here with us in Super visa. My mom has her super visa until 2016. Can we re apply for super visa when she is here.

How long it takes to get the file number for the parents sponsor.
