none that I am aware of. Seems like there has been no Visa for CHC-ISB for a while. A forum member Hira was the last one who got the passport request and the visa later. In the month of Aug....
I think they are out of quota and they are waiting for the next year and all of a sudden some of us will get the request and visa.

i think you are right but never know we still have 2 month left from which some of the employee might take xmas vacation in mid Dec. so they will be short staff. i ordered gcms notes, will keep you posted.

I did two MP requests. One said that my parents file will be finalized by September. When this did not happen, I contacted my MP again. I got a cold reply that the normal processing time is 59 months at Islamabad Office. So my application is in the given time period. hence, all I have to do is wait.

MP requests were useless in my case...

No reason for the two medicals. Nothing that we know of at least. We have sent numerous emails, mails and faxes to ask about the two medicals... But i feel I am talking to a wall. Anyways, its been one year since the file is "in process" and been 8 months since the medicals done.

Will they let this medical expire too???? I need motivation :(

There was no issue with the medicals. They refused our application and we had to appeal against their decision. First medical expired in the process of the appeal. Our appeal was allowed and the file was transferred back to ND who in turn asked for our passports and to get medicals done again.

I don't think the issue is with the quota. Under normal circumstances quota might have been fulfilled. But for the six months when the strike action was being taken by the foreign officers, I guess rarely visas were being issued not just at ND or ISB but other VOs as well. The reason could most probably be the backlog of these six months that is delaying our application further more.

First of all a very happy Diwali to all of you....on this auspicious day i want to share that Finally after such a longggg wait my e-cas showed DECISION MADE on my parents PR application :) :) :)
Now the question is that their meds were done on Nov 20. 2012 but GCMS notes says validity until Dec. 24/2013. Does anyone have an idea approximately how long does it take for PP to be recieved after DM? If meds are expiring on Nov.20 then definitly my parents have to land before that day but not sure if expiry will be Dec. 24....Will see
Wishing all the best to you all.....
