3. Who qualifies as a "Dependent Child"?
For Family Sponsorship purposes, a dependent child means a child who is:
Under 22 and unmarried on the date the application for sponsorship is submitted (and still unmarried on the date the child lands in Canada); or
Of any age or marital status and is a continuously enrolled full-time student, who is financially dependent on his or her parents since before the age of 22 (or since becoming a spouse or common-law partner, if this happened before 22); or
Is financially dependent on a parent since before the age of 22 because of a disability.

i am too in the same boat..completed masters..original documents submitted to ND...bt m applyng for another masters..dnt want to take risk... dnt knw when dis study will end....

m also done masterss,,,i don't want to study further another master....which is not possible for me,,,bcaz i have done my mtech and now the possibility is change the linee,,,god plz hlep us....finalize our applications

CHC mentioned in letter that First Review takes 9 months Duration

After a Month got one more email that they want passports & Medicals

on 14th june we were in Max for Medical chkups and got call from chc enquiring about applicant(mom) & her dependants(me & sister)
the girl ask few questions like what we are doing . we both were less than 22 . type A dependent

i just wana ask the time period for First Review was started just after the AOR received or later when we submitted passports.

A month ago they Updated eCase "Medical Results has been Received"
that means we passed the medicals ?

what would be the next update "InProcess" or "Decision Made"?

they didnt ask ur original documents f academics?? if yes then wen?? nd wen were ur case filed???
dnt worry everythng s fyn n ur case if ur status change 2 in process then it ill take tym but if it directly chnge frm app received 2 decision made thn it il finalize n few months. datz history says. dere s no particular time frame f finalizing as dese morons r violating dere own norms... best f luck

the 1st two pages were mentioning for medical and passports
and the 3rd page was Document Checklist for Family Class – Parents & Grandparents

 Updated educational documents for your accompanying dependants 22 years of age and above at the time of sponsorship. Educational documents such as original mark statements, certificates, diplomas and degrees. Also provide a letter from the institute or college stating his/her present course of studies

is only for dependants who were over 22 at the time of sponsership

that time:
me - I was 17yr 11month 29days young
sister - 21yr 8months 23days

We also paste a sticker on a Edu. documents folder on the front which mentions our Calculated Age(Type A)

you can take admission in MBA..bcz although mtech and MBA r both masters bt MBA cm under mangmnt ang mtech under research..so u can justify to embassy also///take dummy admissions...

ur lawyer told u 2 do so?? m afraid 2 dere r sum fellas here frm pakistan who also have dependent less than 22 do da same. one f dere dependent s relegated frm case as dere ws chnge f courses. u r ok bt m sure dat ur sis must have gone through couple f change courses. rest depends n visa officer nd luck. now a dayz dese morons r desperate 2 expel atleast 1 dependent by their stupid reasons.

they asked u seperately 2 send original docs?? if no then y u submitted it as u were less than 22 at da tym f submission.

I'm planning to bring down my parents under super visa, but I have few concerns.
My dad had applied for refugee status over few years back but was denied and went back home with his money and decision.but now they are well settled and they have been visited about 10 countries and has employed in a very good job since then. its depend upon in which class dependent fail if you fail in +2 and above 22 then your visa will be reje ted bcoz you have to be in post secondary education after 22
