i just had a question regarding dependents and i have received medicals for all my family members. CIC islamabad also asked for the educational documents for my brother who is almost 26 now and the time i applied he was under 22 and a dependent. he recently started working in gulf and the consulate is asking for the educational documents.. can someone please explain how should i reply to this. should i explain them that he is getting some experience to pursue his phd in management as he has already done his MBA. thanks
Please reply Lucky786, Hira or anyone who has experience with a dependent lock in age. thanks

Hey 5172490.. First of all congrats on receiving medicals.. Yes if the dependent was under 22 when the application was initially filed, the age is locked in.. I am suprised why are they asking for educational documents! Did you submit the educational docs when u got the additional doc request? Because every dependent i know they submitted their educational docs when they were asked to submit additional documents(Though they were below 22)... If they are asking for it, provide them with the docs. There is no harm in it..

About the job thing.. The dependents who were under 22 can start doing a job after graduating , but i am not really sure how isb is going to react on this part.. The only clause that under 22 dependents has to follow is that remain unmarried.. A person from other forum who was under 22 at the time application was filed started working after he graduated and he disclosed the job as well and he was granted the visa.. I dont think providing them the job details would do any harm.. But like you said he went to gulf for experience(That means he is not living with his parents anymore) , I am a bit confused about this situation.. I would suggest you to take second opinion from lucky or anyone else who had experienced such thing..

@5172490 Congratulations.... Have u received it through Pakistan post office mail, courier or e mail?
I agree wit hira.... please get advise from a lawyer before sending response.

Thanks for your reply.. I got an email first that had all the medical documents and now i received a letter in mail with the medical documents and additional document request.

Just received medical request via email for my parents who are in Canada (on extended stay). What is the best approach, should they go back to islamabad and get the medical done there or we can also get the medicals done here?
Appreciate if I can get a quick reply, if some one know a good doc in mississauga, please recommend.

You need "outside Pakistan" forms, they come with IME #, you need to email them for it and then take it to DMP in Canada ( unless you got the forms with IME # ) already or you can take the forms to DMP and he might accept it

I only got one IMM1017 with all the details already filled in for my parents, what other forms are you referring to?? Do I need to get them from CIC or can I download them, the address in the IMM1017 form has our canadian address so I am wondering what else we need.

Also, any one, any good doc in Mississauga area (may be some one had good experience with)

My advice would be just provide them only what they asked for no more no less. You don't have to disclosed anything about job because they didn't ask about it

can anybody update the statistics please?
