One quick question, in case somebody can help:

Does the info "decision made" typically appear on ECAS first, or would we expect a letter / email before the information gets updated on the website?

I am getting tired of checking Ecas....

its usually ecas first. rare cases the letter arrives first.

just check ecas once or twice a week on set times. no point in checking it all the time. i usually do it on tuesdays and thursdays.

Is anybody aware of a case where the validity of the medical exams was extended past one year?I am preparing for the possibility that we will not get the permanent resident permit before the medicals expire and I just found out that there is now no approved medical examiner in our city anymore (must have changed since last May, when the meds were done). I am not sure how I can break that information to my mother...

usually they ask for new ones. i hope you get your visa soon and prevent your mother from all the unnecessary hassle..

yes, MPs can, my file transferred to ND and ecas was showing APPLICATION REC'D, i contacted MP, and they emailed ND for status, MP got reply and contacted me saying they are reviewing the file and i should expect medical shortly, and in Oct 2012 i got med. request. Recently i contacted MP again for status as i haven't heard anything after submitting PP and med. MP sent email to ND and told me normally ND replies in 2 weeks

my parents medicals validity was extended... CIC asked my mother to re-do x-ray but my father did not require another x-ray...

BTW, do you see medicals received and did it only appear after the 2nd meds was satisfactory

i just had a question regarding dependents and i have received medicals for all my family members. CIC islamabad also asked for the educational documents for my brother who is almost 26 now and the time i applied he was under 22 and a dependent. he recently started working in gulf and the consulate is asking for the educational documents.. can someone please explain how should i reply to this. should i explain them that he is getting some experience to pursue his phd in management as he has already done his MBA. thanks

Just an update for friend case, CIC requested fingerprint for parent from CPC-O (Nov 2012) & Decision made in Feb 2013. Passport by ND in March 2013. Passport back Received April 11, 2013.
