BTW, do you see medicals received and did it only appear after the 2nd meds was satisfactory

Medical received appeared as soon as medicals passed... nothing changed when medicals expired - the status was still Medicals received...

its usually ecas first. rare cases the letter arrives first.

just check ecas once or twice a week on set times. no point in checking it all the time. i usually do it on tuesdays and thursdays.

my parents medicals validity was extended... CIC asked my mother to re-do x-ray but my father did not require another x-ray...

Shuga, thanks for your answer. Maybe we will be lucky. Ecas has been saying "medicals received" since June 2012. We did not get a request for a follow up exam. My sense is that we are just caught in the volume of applications. My mom is lucky that she can visit (no visa requirement), but right now of course, we cannot do anything, not knowing when (if) the paperwork will arrive. I don't think it's a good idea for her to be in Canada while all of this is underway. Like all of us, I wish we could help speed this along....

Thanks for the suggestion. Great idea. We had some contact (request for updated police clearance certificate, which had expired), and I sent another email a week ago. But putting in URGENT in the subject line is something I should have thought of. Will do that! Thanks again for all your help, everybody!

i just had a question regarding dependents and i have received medicals for all my family members. CIC islamabad also asked for the educational documents for my brother who is almost 26 now and the time i applied he was under 22 and a dependent. he recently started working in gulf and the consulate is asking for the educational documents.. can someone please explain how should i reply to this. should i explain them that he is getting some experience to pursue his phd in management as he has already done his MBA. thanks
