helo i applied for my parents may 2008
,medical passport request 8 november ,medical done 23 november2012,,,,,,ecas recived 19 decembe2012r,,, passport sent 4 december2012 any body case similar to me please neply i am waiting for long long time no dependents

today I checked my status. and it's showing

Sponsorship Application(s)

Sponsored Person Sponsorship Application Status Permanent Residence Application Status
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Application Received Application Received

I believe before it was not showing anything under permanent resisdence application status.

Can somebody tell me what does this mean?

Normal ecas view, means Application recieved

Give us your timeline, LVO etc and rajaji can enter in timeline

I don't have LVO or anything else. I can see "doc requested" in the timeline. What does it mean?

I haven't received any letter or anything. It's just the online status. It's showing like this.

Where can you see that they have requested more documents.?
Even my ecas changed like yours that they received the application.

Dec, 2009 - then just wait for letter from Immigration which will tell you if you are approved as sponsor. You will then receive a letter telling you where the file is transferred CPP-O ( Ottawa ) or LVO ( Local Visa Office ) i, Home Country

Pray that your file goes to CPP-O where life is much easier

From there..at some point point, you will get meds request

I think when it says application received it just means that they are looking into the file .
mine changed a month ago.
Dont know how long its going take. may be other members can shed more on this?

for Family Sponsorship - some early 2009'ers in CPP-O were lucky to get their files complete but the majority of files being worked on at this time is 2008 and will catch up with 2009, then they start after Nov 17 2009, depending on the quota as there are lot of applications pending and quota is limited, 25K in a year

If you have dependents and if the file needs local knowledge ( if any parent worked in Govt etc ) you can safely say the file will go to Home Country

But some files have gone regardless of that, no one really knows its your luck
