thks for such a important information ,could you pls tell me about BG check for parents sposership, as my father is in police and we got email for background check ,how much time they take doe DM

As per my info it can be between 2 to 6 month. Average 3months. depends on length of service/transfers/position held/any legal badges etc.

1) for my mom-in-law: no dependents only mom, travel history: yes, been to canada twice, stayed for 1 yr once n 1.5 yrs second time. her visa was valid until feb 2013 but she went back in dec 2011 when she got her first med request n was asked to submit passport.
ecas for her: in process (since sept 2012); application recvd in mar 2011, processing started in sept 2012, med results recvd.
additional updates: asked for fingerprints in nov 2012, remedical n pcc requested last wk.

2) for my parents: dependents: yes, my sister was less than 22 at time of application, now 27+ , full-time student.
Travel history: none
ecas: in process (since may 2012); application recvd in feb 2011, processing started in may 2012, med results recvd.
last correspondence recevd fm ND was med n pp request in dec 2011. nthng after tht. GCMS notes show file is in interview queue since july 2012.

I guess u want the meds recieved, else u might worry they might ask re-meds and passport is in India, mom is here - they send pp back

Mom has travelled twice to US with each stay maximum 3 months and twice to middle east for a short trip. Nothing other than that.

two months since decision made??? tht is pretty long time!! normally u wud get passport back in a week or so....
in my opinion, traveling can only delay the processing and not the visa stamping but u never know for sure. when did u submit passports? also from personal experience, i hv learned tht it takes much longer to get response for inquiries made using Case-Specific format. dont knw if u sent a case specific email or a general one with "urgent" in subject line. try sending another general email n express ur concerns. i m positive they will respond! if u dont mind, can u share ur timeline?

I believe before it was not showing anything under permanent resisdence application status.

Can somebody tell me what does this mean?
