Does ordering gcms notes makes our case delayed? Should I wait or order Gcms. Send my passport in the middle of January 2013. Please any advice would be appreciated

If you are ordering "Electronic File" (as opposed to "Physical File"), it would not delay your application in any manner. Ordering "Physical File" may delay processing as the files would have to be physically moved from one location (visa office) to the other (place where GCMS notes are processed).

In most case, and "Electronic File" would provide all the information you need.

Just quick update on my mothers application, she received her Passport and Visa from New Delhi yesterday meaning March 20 2013 in the afternoon Indian time... Visa issue date was March 14 2013.... She was given Feb 23 2014 last day to enter to Canada....

Wishing good luck to everyone on this forum who are waiting to hear from CIC..... I will be checking time to time just to share my experience if needed in any case..........

I think, it's better to order GCMS notes when ur file is "in process" for a month or more. Otherwise, there might not b any useful information.

They are working upto Nov 19, 2009 - I assume it would be next batch providing the quota is still there which I doubt as they are allowing anywhere from 25K-35K in 2013 which will be taken up by 2008/2009 applicants

Does anyone remember the # of pending apps? wasn't it over 100K

The current backlog is close to 170,000 applicants and would take more than 15 years to be processed based on the annual admission quota.

I believe 2012 was 25k, 25K for 2103 ( or 35K I am not sure ), so as you can see 25-35k is still not enough for reach that figure but we will have to wait and watch.

BTW, this # is not a pair of parents, these are individual apps so Dad, Mom, dependent etc
