Congrats LATTIM.

DO you know, if our parents (who are over 65) are eligible for Ontario drug Benefit.

Ya and it is automatic , no need to apply , may require to pay up to $2 as despensing fee only , depending on Income

For those who mailed passports within India, what type of service did you use? if you chose bluedart:

1) Do you need to mention that there is passports in it ( with decalaration )
2) Do you need to show ID? if the holder of the passport is not present

Did you call for pick up or you went to their office?
We used first flight courier and we don't think to tell them that's it passports inside. We just need to do normal courier...not a big deal.
It was signed by principal applicant.
An we had a tracking number so we know CIC recieved it. On top of that CIC has written in our enquiry email that they acknowledge that they are holding our passports and they are giving preference to files to issue visa's whose passports they are holding.
I have sent a checklist of all documents sent for each member of file. Even I sent required stationery, our printed address slips too. CIC hate working on unorganised files. So just a little effort.
Lets see. My ecas still in progress. Medical results hav been recieved.
Can't wait to see decision made...waheguru helpppppp

what LATTIM is referring to is the co-pay, it can be $6.11 or $4.11 but some pharmacies waive $4.11 which makes it either $2 or $0.

Does anyone know the procedure of getting passport back from the NDO. I might need to travel overseas and need the passport asap. How much it will delay the process. Just curious so that I can make my mind.

u can send them e-mail stating that you want your passport back describing reason for it .OR u can visit in newdelhi in person they will return your passport .after that you will wait for second PPR then you can submit the passport .it might take longer for second passport request

I know guys...but it's so hard to wait as wel. I m in India since nov.i completed my course in Aus in nov. now I m in India since nov and free. It's been more then three months.
All my original documents are at NDO. I can't even continue my studies.
What you recommend...how to handle the situation.coz I am dependent and I should be a regular full time student according to CHC conditions.
I was 21.5yr only at the time when my sister sponsored me in 2007.
Will it be okay if I stay free till I get my visa?
How does it work for dependents.
Any help?
Thanks.

I personally would just wait. your age was locked in at that time and you only have a few months where you were not a student, free periods of a few months can always be explained easily (end of one session and waiting to start the next) if they do ever request it although I do not see that happening in your case.

other members feel free to chip in.

Hi pals please advise for below:

My mother has received medical evaluation few days ago (second medical request) which has now been rectified/done and dispatched after confirming the report is ok.

Can any one please advise what sort of additional delay (in terms of time) this will cause in the passport request.

My mother is now in India, previously she was at Australia on tourist visa where her first medicals was done.

Also please advise if I need to send her Australia's visit "policy clearance" (I got in hand for her 8 months visit as a back up in case CIC wants). I have already send the scanned copy to CIC New Delhi and CIC Ontario. So my question is should I send the hard copy as well, if so then to which address. Please note: no one from CIC has requested police clearance yet, but I have done for my own, just to save time in case CIC asks for.

Your reply / advise is highly appreciated.
